The Logi sauna is a wood-fired public sauna by the sea in Tallinn, Estonia, built on the initiative of citizens and run by volunteers. This simple, yet esthetic and functional building has turned out to have a big impact - as a safe, non-judgemental place with strong somatic experiences it has succeeded in bringing together people of all walks of life, and it is chaniging on how the ever commerzializing sea-side of Tallinn is seen and used.
It is a collaborative non-formal education project that aims to promote the rural world, transmit the values and potential of the Alentejo region, making it a living laboratory of learning and skills. Through activities in a practical and rural context, with a strong sense of belonging, we seek to bring young people closer to the culture and traditions of Alentejo and the economic sectors of the region and raise awareness of rurality, territorial cohesion and social innovation.
In Alusta pavilion pollinating insects and people can live together in a dense urban setting. Its pollinator-friendly flowers and porous clay structures offer nutrition and shelter for insects and aesthetic enjoyment and wellbeing for people. Its building solutions embody sustainability and circularity throughout their lifecycle. It is a built manifesto of co-existence and care, giving visitors and participants an example of the possibility for change through appealing and replicable solutions.
PlaySquare puts children at the center of urban transformation, empowering them as key agents of change. In one of Athens’ densest neighborhoods, children redesigned their environment, turning an abandoned parklet into a meaningful, inclusive, climate-resilient space. Through participatory design and hands-on activities, they shaped the space to reflect their vision. The project highlighted children's power to drive change proving that spaces designed by/for them can benefit the whole community.

The Irish construction industry accounts for 6% of the employed population but generates 48% of all waste produced in Ireland. Demolition Take Down is a research and engagement led by Islander Architects. Through explorative research and cross-disciplinary conversations, we aimed to shift attitudes and behaviours within the construction industry. We sparked a nationwide discussion and pave the way for more sustainable, responsible approaches to demolition in Ireland.
In 2014, single-family houses in Lithuania were built with a heating demand of up to 198 kWh/m2a, while we designed and built a house with a demand of 15! Monitoring since 2015 has shown that the heating and comfort parameters simulated during the design process are in line with the measured ones. 10 years later, the house is more than 4 times more energy efficient than the A++ energy efficiency class houses built in Lithuania today and is a perfect example of affordable comfortable housing.

A temporary seasonal transformation project, Pescatori Digitali, aims to create an innovative community-based initiative that revitalises Stintino local historical centre and gives sustainable tourism a new meaning. Location-independent, creative workers live in historic fishermen’s houses and turn local landmarks such as the Museum of the Tonnara into their offices. For a month or more, this coastal village of 1,600 souls becomes a living workspace where tradition and innovation come together.

Through community-led recycling campaigns, we engage schools, NGOs, and vulnerable groups to create high-quality, affordable products that benefit public spaces and protect nature. By turning waste into value, Eko Daska fosters a circular economy and raises environmental awareness across Montenegro.
