How can we create a sense of belonging in changing urban contexts? How can we learn across differences and changes? Diving in the neighbourhood with the children is an invite to explore these questions through transforming our local context into spaces of collective learning.

The Corral de Don Diego is a place where monuments (the Salón Rico, an Asset of Cultural Interest, abandoned for decades), residential buildings, public spaces and archaeological remains coexist. It was in a state of maximum degradation and disconnected from the city until the Consorcio de Toledo initiated the urban regeneration project demanded by the citizens; coordinating different actions aimed at the recovery of the space that combine own, municipal, regional and EU resources.

Into the Miracles was an innovative art festival redefining cultural experiences in the Slovak countryside. Spanning an 80 km route through villages, forests, and meadows, audiences immersed themselves in site-specific artworks that seamlessly blended theater, dance, music, and visual arts with the natural landscape. By uniting people, art, and the environment, the festival fostered sustainability, reflection, and a deeper bond with the natural world - harmony between people and environment.

The project deals with the development of social and urban regeneration of the residential complexes in Via Russoli. A path that has led to the development of the project on two parallel levels, involving on the one hand the energy requalification of the buildings, and on the other the study of social spaces on the flat roofs.

The Asertos programme has been developed by Arquitectura Sin Fronteras España and Quatorze, with the certainty that the solution to urban vulnerability lies in the communities. Certain areas of our territories accumulate social, economic and residential problems, which represents a public health problem. To tackle this, we abandon the deficit approach and focus on discovering, connecting and mobilising the strengths of communities in order to ensure adequate housing and quality common spaces.

"I Want to Be Useful...recycle Me" is a long-term program designed to address Bulgaria's lagging performance in recycling municipal and packaging waste, particularly plastic. Through patented Bottle-Eater installations, clean-up actions, and art and behavioral nudges, the project makes separate collection accessible, interactive, and impactful. With 844,885 participants and 533,500 kg of waste removed, over 5 years, the initiative is proving that small actions can lead to big changes.

Purteka. Gardening for Children, is a nature-learning space that engage children in practice how to plant starting from seeds and a collaborative place-base approach to community engagement. It creates gardening kits for children, and provides handmade gardening tools, produced by local old artisans and craftsmen. By using a small gardening-truck, Purteka organizes activities and workshops with other actors of local economies.

Mi Lobi Zuid" is a colorful mural at Zuidplein, Rotterdam, symbolizing local pride. Led by artist Naomi King and Joris Sauerbier, a graduate student of the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab, over 120 residents and local students joined in to paint, creating a truly participatory artwork. This collaborative effort connected communities and brought color, positivity, and a sense of ownership to the Hart van Zuid area, showcasing the power of collaboration and creativity in transforming public spaces.

The North Evia Festival, born in response to the 2021 devastating fires, brings locals and visitors together through music, raising environmental awareness and promoting community cohesion. Moving across North Evia’s diverse landscapes, the festival celebrates the region’s culture and natural beauty with outdoor workshops, concerts, cultural activities and excursions. By engaging visitors and supporting the local community, it fosters recovery, sustainability, and unity in the heart of Greece.
