The main objetive of the restoration project of Aiestaran Baserria is to convert a traditional Basque farmhouse "Baserria", whose origins date from the 16th century, into a new cultural center and meeting point of the town of Trapagaran, in Bizkaia, Spain.
In order to achieve this, a reinterpretation of the traditional functioning ot the baserria has been made; succedding in creating a self-sufficient building.

SuberSkin project was directly inspired by Mark Weiser’s vision of ubiquitous and calm computing. The project Suberskin describes an interactive wall combining cork, a low tech material and shape memory alloys, a high tech material. The wall would be composed by several interactive modules, Subertiles. These would visualize information by moving each piece of cork as pixels. The output presented results from input by a mobile phone. Suberskin builds upon portuguese tradicional cork industry.
The project develops a section of the Igualada’s Green Ring,through the old gypsum mines of the town,a space abandoned for decades.The landscape recovery of the place starts by creating a scenic path that crosses the area.The layout of this linear viewpoint recognizes the existing landmarks and trees by widening and creating rest areas.Despite the austerity of the proposal,there is an improvement in the bioclimatic conditions achieving a place to walk,rest,learn and enjoy the territory.
