W10 – homes for all

Inclusion starts from home, a place to feel cosy and safe.

W10 -project matches many needs. It provides a block of social housing flats for anyone to apply, services based on Housing First for ex-homeless tenants living in the house or in scattered housing around the city, flats for emergency situations and a community centre to benefit the whole neighbourhood.

W10 is a product of cooperation. Now the house is a home base for many kinds of activities.

Questioning the classical relationships between actors and spectators in theaters, we put forward the thesis that any human interaction, no matter where, no matter how ordinary it might be, is performance.
The idea promotes modules that can be combined, repeated, rotated or mirrored in every imaginable way. Depending on their arrangement, the most diverse conditions arise for an unpredictable number of performative situations, framing conscious and unconscious performances of the everday life.

Hands Down is a lightning inclusive museum tool inviting children to compose and play with rear-projected components on the surface of an overhead projector, in response to the surrounding art pieces.

By contemplating his projected interaction on the museum’s walls, the child can conquer not only his relation to the artworks, but also to the museum space itself.

The redesign of the open spaces of the Bauhaus University is a project in landscape architecture. In the context of the UNESCO World Heritage and following the tradition of the Bauhaus stage, the existing spatial interventions of the site were transformed into atmospheric and spatially effective ‘open-air theatres’. The result is a series of separate, clearly legible – through simultaneous interaction – multifaceted landscape spaces that embody both modernity and the past.    

What if housing could be affordable and sustainable? Easy Home is a new concept based on a modular prefabricated design that was optimised to be affordable, sustainable, energy-efficient, light, adaptable and recyclable. The external facade was optimised in simulation software to achieve the best cost during the building lifecycle while using sustainable materials and solutions. Its various modules were designed to be easily adapted to the needs of its inhabitants even during its lifetime.

APROP is an affordable, sustainable, fast and high-quality housing programme providing evicted households with emergency accommodation in their own neighbourhood. A lightweight, dry, modular and reversible construction system using reused shipping containers has been specially conceived to achieve high rates of energy efficiency and excellent architectural standards. The first APROP is already in operation in Ciutat Vella, Barcelona while two other buildings are currently under construction.
