The project presented aims to make the Naples waterfront a safe and efficient promenade between city and sea, enable to face up to climate risks through the pedestrianisation of a good part of it (without, however, significantly hindering vehicular transit given that a special carriageway is foreseen for any critical issues) and the introduction of a series of innovative solutions for the recovery, treatment and re-use of rainwater, as part of the sustainable management of urban drainage.

Porcelain light tiles are a unique solution of the author, where LED light elements are embedded under the porcelain tile, thus making the wall with tile covering in a large light element. Porcelain tiles are made in specific technique, as a result, the tile becomes very transparent, thus allowing light to easily pass through the tile. The tile solution is intended for decorative interior solutions.

The Ringpark Leiden is a citizen-driven initiative to surround the old city centre of Leiden with a green and infinite park. The park is both envisioned and managed by citizens and offers a sparkling leisure spot for all Leiden’s inhabitants. It lays like a ring around the city-centre, is accessible to everyone, including all mobility needs. The meetingplace for all citizens offers both art and a wide biodiverse nature, combining aesthetics and sustainability in an in-itself architectural park.

Borgo Sostenibile Figino is a social and collaborative housing complex developed by FHS in an historic neighbourhood located in Milan’s western fringe. It provides not only affordable apartments but also community spaces, a linear park, a system of pedestrian paths and public spaces with shops and hybrid services. It is considered a pioneering project in the social housing sector, as it introduced experimental features that are now being replicated in housing projects around the country.

The heart of an ancient farmhouse in the Po valley, the old barn called “Casazza” open up to the community as a ductile space, a “museum of itself” and of the history that transformed it and, at the same time, a new Landscape Study Center oriented to the knowledge and conservation of the environment. Completed by a new pavilion that respects its image, the building develops on two floors connected by double-height spaces, while on the outside minimal signs renew the envelope, evoking its memory.

The project explores the link between architecture and memory. It is a set of architectural interventions, surrounding the ruins of a previous sanatorium for mentally ill Jews in Otwock. The project aims to rehabilitate the absent memory of the exterminated pre-war community, among the present inhabitants of the city, with the use of means of architecture. While seeking inspiration in the vernacular heritage of the city, it explores various ways to preserve the memory: personal and collective.

This project deals with the regeneration of a facility and the attached public spaces. The equipment was created in the 90s promoting the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and it was a very important milestone in this pilgrimage route because it is located on the Monte del Gozo but the las 10 years it was abandoned. The aim of this project is to reduce the carbon footprint to the maximum by rehabilitating an existing space and it has tried to reduce its energy consumption as much as possible.

The French architect and designer Sophie Dries created a scenography for the 2019 edition of the Belgian Fair Collectible, which is here revisited at the Boutique of the Museum of Decorative Arts for an exhibition dedicated to the young designer.

The project is based on the concept of upcycling : the materials used in the installation are either waste materials that are unused or unwanted in their current form, which are given a new purpose by becoming the products of the installation. 

The Education Center of Val du Scarpe is a first step — and the first part — of a multipurpose facility that will eventually offer sports and educational activities within this Val de Scarpe district. In the spirit of mutualization and educative continuity, the project follows a strategy that articulates the different facilities – a nursery center ; daycare; an elementary school; a gymnasium and a community center – all around different layers that outline the shape of the site.

The 2018 Marvão Architecture and Urbanism Summer School consisted in a team of 40 participants from multiple universities, practices and countries (Phillippines, Portugal, Spain, Germany, England, Guatemala, Mexico, India, Brazil and United States), who came together to discover the town of Beirã and its significance to Marvão and the Alto Alentejo region of Portugal. It join also several local institutions and will improve the construction sector in order to preserve european cultural heritage.
