The Perlovska Project introduces a dynamic, community-led strategy to revitalise Sofia’s neglected rivers. Integrating placemaking, expert-led strategies, on-the-ground research and festivals, the project builds lasting momentum for large-scale urban transformation. A dedicated communication and advocacy plan, reinforced by media partnerships and public outreach, drives institutional involvement, amplifying the inititive’s impact and reshaping the city’s rivers as vital green-blue arteries.

CATRAIA is an admission-free, multidisciplinary festival that takes place in a small beach town in coastal Portugal. Its programme focuses on sustainability and environmental-awareness through an array of events that include concerts, art exhibitions, workshops, lectures, films, and sports. It is close to the community and partners with local enterprises, while gathering people from different backgrounds and generations to act on the climate emergency.

The Living Summer School (LSS) is a free, hands-on learning program that unites young Europeans and locals in Kortrijk, Belgium, to tackle real-world social and climate challenges. Through collaboration with communities, NGOs, and policymakers, participants co-create sustainable solutions that drive territorial innovation. Rooted in experiential learning, LSS empowers the next generation to shape resilient, future-ready regions. An Erasmus-certified initiative, it’s part of LINA community.

ZEDAPLUS has transformed an abandoned building into an eye-catching social housing project. In a bright yellow-red hue, CODE-M is complemented by a new sustainable multifunctional living roof: a suspended square accessible to all, to play, listen to music or do yoga with a view of the city. It is a hybrid and porous architecture that changes according to the community's requirements. The neighborhood is so improved by a dynamic meeting and socialization place and a pubblic space.

The circular economy exists in nature and must be adopted through education and outreach. One Planet Podcast and The Creative Process address low-waste, low-carbon, and sustainable design and infrastructure challenges. Their new initiative, Building Tomorrow Today, will produce 100 episodes over two years, co-hosted by students and experts. The series highlights eco-innovation across Europe, featuring Paula Pinho, Walter Stahel, Bertrand Piccard, European Commission, UN, and thought leaders.

I.D.E.A. is a BASE Milano project. Through the expressive code of arts and culture, it aims at fostering a sense of belonging and ownership for marginalized groups and local community, improving their cultural representation. I.D.E.A. is the set of practices of co-design, listening, inclusion, widening, oriented to stabilize the role of BASE as an institution that serves as amplifier for voices and energies who often sit at “the periphery” of public life.

Plantando el Sur transforms our neighborhood through citizen-led urban rewilding. What started as scattered tree planting by residents concerned about urban heat has blossomed into a vibrant community movement. Today, neighbors grow saplings at home, tend community gardens, and organize cultural activities in newly greened spaces. With municipal support, we're turning gray urban voids into living ecosystems where nature and community thrive together.

Makramè’s most emblematic project, Bosco Colto, is a ten-day experimental campus in Borgo di Santo Pietro, Caltagirone, Sicily. Bringing together art, architecture, literature, gastronomy, eco-design, and permaculture, it serves as a hub for sustainability, innovation, and cultural regeneration. Through creative exchange and territorial revitalization, Bosco Colto fosters new models of coexistence between humans and nature.

Bögia – Muoviti! is a modular and flexible bike trailer that strengthens the sense of belonging by transforming everyday public spaces into dynamic hubs of encounter, exchange, and collective storytelling. Designed through co-creation, it reimagines underutilized areas, reconnecting them with local history, traditions, and contemporary community life. By bringing culture directly to neighborhoods, Bögia fosters shared ownership of spaces, celebrating diversity and weaving new social bonds.

The Hugging Suit bridges physical distance through remote haptic communication, creating a tangible sense of presence for people in long-distance relationships. Using advanced silicone actuators and e-textile sensors, it delivers realistic, programmable hugs to enhance emotional well-being. This innovation fosters social connection, inclusivity, and belonging, redefining how people maintain closeness and intimacy in remote and hybrid environments.
