La Llar de la Recerca is a youth association based in Alt Penedès that promotes creativity and research among young people through self-managed and collaborative projects, particularly in STEAM fields. Enclaved in a rural environment, it advocates for the decentralization of knowledge, equal opportunities, and innovation. It fosters youth leadership, science communication, and networking to transform the region and create social impact.
We aim to create a nurturing sanctuary—a tent—where women can come together to honor and embrace the natural rhythms of their menstrual cycles. This space will serve as a comforting, ceremonial environment for reflection, sharing wisdom, and fostering healing, recognizing menstruation as a vital part of the larger cycles of life.

Not many people know what soil is. This knowledge is even more limited for those who live in urban areas and have never had first-hand experience with soil and humus. Not many people know how valuable smelly, decaying organic waste is. Golden Banana Peels is a space within a community where people of different ages come together. It is an educational site, but also a playground, where people see how humus is produced from organic waste. Everyone will see their banana peels differently.
The "Letters from Kosovo" campaign is about giving young people in Kosovo a voice, a space to share their hopes, challenges, and dreams for the future. Through personal letters and open conversations, students express what European integration, diplomacy, and regional cooperation mean to them. More than just a platform, this initiative is about belonging, helping young people feel connected to their communities, to each other, and to the wider European family. Tecnosuolo is the soil of the future, a research aimed at counteracting the impact of the textile industry on the environment and promoting the disposal of production waste in the place where they are produced. Through a sustainable approach, unsold clothing items made of fabrics of plant and animal origin are retransformed into textile fibers that become raw material to be used in the agricultural sector to develop new cultivation techniques that improve soil fertility and promote plant growth.
Our project transforms Pedion tou Areos into an open-air environmental classroom, where guided tours, interactive storytelling, and digital tools help citizens rediscover the hidden biodiversity of their city. By blending education, technology, and community engagement, we inspire Athenians to appreciate, protect, and reconnect with urban nature.
Amidst the rapidly gentrifying district of North Tallinn, the Kopli Courtyard revives a rare public space on the grounds of a derelict community centre. Showcasing the meanwhile use potential of abandoned municipal assets, the scheme was co-designed with local residents, delivering a 415m2 courtyard built entirely of recycled construction waste. The new public space can host a wealth of creative and cultural activities, from craft classes and barbecues to film screenings and theatre productions.
The Allerweltshaus is working to transform an asphalt courtyard into a welcoming space for marginalized communities and local biodiversity. As gentrification continues to reshape urban landscapes, this grassroots initiative aims to restore and invite nature back. By removing asphalt and planting native greenery, we create a nurturing environment. Collaborating with Technische Hochschule Köln, we emphasize inclusivity, inviting everyone to help shape a vibrant and accessible urban refuge for all.
