This project aims to optimise energy consumption in domestic uses. Various clay bricks are placed in our (standard) oven while it is in used to cook food, they are heated during the process, and then removed using a suitable tool and placed on the Atre structure, made also from materials that can diffuse heat, becoming a heating device. Or put inside a compartment made of a thermoelectric material, converting heat into electricity, stored and available when needed.
The Download Design initiative launched in 2014 as an university course at MOME in collaboration with members of Fabunio. The project challenged students to design furniture for specific life situations, seeking answers for today’s economic, social, and environmental challenges. Using the sharing economy model, the manufacturing designs of the furniture are available to download for free, thus making knowledge sharing effective and democratic, which we believe will lead to a better world.
CIRERERS is a new housing proposal. Focused on people, designed, managed and executed as a bottom-up cooperative model. This project wants to create a space of shared coexistence under the sustainability’s premises in construction and inclusion oriented to the accessibility and affordability of housing. Cirerers is the tallest wooden building in Spain, with the most demanding parameters in energy efficiency and providing the city with 32 affordable housing units from non-speculative model.
On three sites, three teams of architects created an attractive, homogeneous urban arrangement with open spaces, courtyards with edible plants and a spacious community garden.

Let’s rethink fashion! An alternative dyeing method with native plants and a possible scalability for industry usage was explored within a small series of woolen T-shirts. Starting with the regional sourcing of dyeing materials, through the dyeing process in an industrial setting, to cutting and sewing actual garments. An attached user study guides participants to reflect on these natural-dyed garments through experiencing them on their own bodies.
As the construction industry succumbs to the final customers’ emotions and demands more than ever before, we wonder, can we create a shell to control the needs? We believe the goal should not be the regulation of needs, but having the flexibility to adapt, enhance and create different atmospheres.
Let’s think about a construction as an organic multicell growth system rather than an individualistic building, a wide range of possibilities, all sharing the same starting point.

To overturn a system that proposes "top-down" solutions and actively include citizens in decisions concerning the transformation of places in one's community. The project does this by creating synergies and collaborative networks between public administration, associations and citizens in the belief that we must overcome a static vision of their respective roles and foster practices of greater sharing and co-responsibility.
