Our aim is the union between design and craftsmanship. Laab's goal is to preserve, through continuous research, a cultural, productive and distributive fabric that enhances the know-how of generations who have handed down their knowledge of the creation of the product and which is now combined with innovative design.

Summary
Our aim is the union between design and craftsmanship. Laab's goal is to preserve, through continuous research, a cultural, productive and distributive fabric that enhances the know-how of generations who have handed down their knowledge of the creation of the product and which is now combined with innovative design.
Key objectives for sustainability
Our aim is to make design by recovering a discourse of traditions and using ecological materials coming from nature itself. For this reason we have used red clays from our soils applying the know-out of local tradition for the realization of the artifacts themselves.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
The key objective is to bring to light the tradition of the past, a very important added value that linked to the current design results in the aesthetic creativity of a new product. The search for the last great potters in the area led us to take note of the need to rediscover this slowly forgotten art for everyone and take charge of the goal of subject it to the knowledge of the new generations, encouraging them to continue in the art and proposing new artistic artefacts in terms of design while maintaining the aesthetic purity of shapes and colors that distinguishes the local artefact.
Key objectives for inclusion
one of our aims is to give life to artisanal work and to those who have felt isolated for a long time due to age and social disinterest.
These craftsmen and expert potters have very often been abandoned to their resources without having the opportunity to continue their art. They had to reduce their artistic productions, close small cooking ovens and often close their businesses.
We find these masters less and less. Our research led us to know them ..
and creating a laboratory has become one of our final goals where everyone, from children to the elderly, can be creators with living matter and learn this art which, if not kept alive, will be slowly forgotten.
An opportunity, especially for sick elderly people where the operation and dexterity become a very important point in order not to fall into dementia dictated by unemployment, a problem so alive in this period of life.
Results in relation to category
Since we started this project there have been various results:
more than one master craftsman with his small artistic workshop joined us by participating and interacting with the creation of new design products.
A small creative workshop is being formed with one of them, open to everyone, where the creation of raku pieces under the careful guidance of the master himself, connoisseur of clays and doughs, are exhaustive satisfactions to our goal.
