Zuzeum is a new indoor and outdoor space for art in a former cork factory in Riga. The idea of Zuzeum is to provide a safe, multifunctional and inspiring public space for all regardless of their self-identities, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Zuzeum opened its doors as an art centre in 2020 and it was a good year for community spirit in Riga. Voters elected neighbourhood activists into the city council. Volunteers transformed a derelict plot into urban allotments.

Silent Architecture is a floating cabin designed to engage in a collective reflection on the environmental impact of our lifestyles and our way of inhabiting the world. It is an architecture manifest that invites us to question the future of static constructions and their constant dialogue with an environment in perpetual evolution. It’s a space to think the future differently.

Generazione Borgo was born from the willingness of a group of young inhabitants of BorgoReno district to reinvent the public center Anni Verdi.  The project enhances new forms for sociality and gives way to young generations' needs, through free and diversified workshops ranging from breakdancing to participatory journalism. The center is thought to be the first community center of the district able to act as a catalyst for synergies between people, local associations, and public institutions.

The theme is the redevelopment of the Porta Romana railway station in Milan. The project consists in some dense built-up parts held together by a linear park that follows the train tracks that cut the entire area. Another topic is the relationship with the context: the linear park that continues the green system and cycle-pedestrian paths already existing; the building that reflects some characteristics of the context, the compact blocks of the 1900 century and those of industrial origin.

The project of the Bašta - cultural and community centre is the result of voluntary work of active citizens in the town of Bardejov. The absence of a space to cover cultural and community activities activated the wider community to create such a space. The benefit of this project is not only the existence of a cultural institution but also the preservation of a cultural monument and the place for people to build community and opportunity to support active citizenship.

How do you put 10, 20, 40 years of your life into cardboard boxes? And where do you go? The Islands — a public housing at the border between France and Switzerland — will be soon demolished, leaving room for private residences. 257 families are getting ready to pack their boxes.

For 3 months, we lived in this neighborhood. As an architect and a cinema director, we took time to listen, understand and create with the families a creative story telling supporting social inclusion.

Regenerating under-valued areas through implementation of aesthetic food production units: that is the main objective of our urban agriculture project.

We build greenhouse and pergolas designed to grow fruits and vegetables with low-energy and water consumption in urban areas. Thus, we bring nature to the city and its inhabitants and create the conditions of an appeasing atmosphere close to working and living spaces, answering to the precepts of ecotherapy : environment and well-being united!

Our hydroponic pergolas are set up in residencies and firms premises to upgrade undervalued shared spaces into meeting points and break rooms where nature surrounds you. There, you have access to growing fruits and vegetables, to workshops and awareness sessions about agriculture, and to a relaxing place where all your everyday worries disappear.

Transforming under-valued areas in pleasant and appeasing meeting places through nature presence and growing vegetables : this is what bring our urban hydroponic ferms and pergolas.

No better structure allows at the same time to welcome people for a break or an encounter with friends, and to provide with organic hyper local food. Rethinking spaces in the city, allowing access to tasty fruits and vegetables and enhancing bystanders well-being are among the positives of our farms.

One of the main objectives of urban agriculture is to allow nature to integrate into urban buildings and places. 

In that respect, we designed food production units, installed as pergolas or greenhouses, to bring environment, biodiversity, pleasant living conditions and tasty organic vegetables in our cities.

You now can eat vegetables grown on the terrace next door or in the break room of your firm and enjoy its ecological and therapeutic effects.
