The "We Share the Same Sky" collection is inspired by lockdown, the "sky" our heirloom and a notebook belonging to my grandaunt, a nurse in WW2 London. We live and work in different towns, cities and fields, we have different dreams but we share the same sky. In an attempt to look at the bigger picture, fabrics were chosen not only for their heirloom quality but because they support social goals, female artisans and require little/no chemicals in cultivating the crops.

We’ll create an ecosystem based on transparency: we identify and transform problems into briefs, 90 million European students work together to transform those briefs into ideas, we transform those ideas into actionable items and give them back to big companies for free, while the whole world watches.

Together with schools and unis, we’ll give the consumers of tomorrow the power to reduce companies’ CO2 emission.

peer_protocol envisions the common gardens as a cultural platform. A space that can be communal as well as private. A space co-designed with the owner and community together. Where urban gardening, a key activity of urban resilience, comes together with social and cultural activities, curated by and for local users.

Heritage management institution, local arts initiative, urban gardening community and passionate heritage volunteers working together for 5 years to change the abandoned First World War heritage site to a resilient community hub in harmony with nature and history.

Largely based on voluntary effort and with limited funds, this has been a long, open co-creation process which has led to a unique place for arts and culture, biodiversity and community urban gardening with sustainability at heart.

Cities and regions all over Europe aim for transformation towards a more sustainable and livable reality. It is evident that car-oriented development is over and new directions such as the 15-minute city become the objective. The digital planning instrument GOAT provides powerful accessibility analyses for walking and cycling. It gives a wide range of individuals the ability to evaluate scenarios (e.g. re-distribution of amenities, improved walking network) for different user groups.

The Collaborative Design Studio at Dublin School of Architecture, TU Dublin is an innovative multidisciplinary architectural design studio premised on a real-life wicked problem and focused on Whole Life Durability using a Servant Leadership collaborative working model.

Alternative Builders is a transdisciplinary movement which challenges the status quo on how we build and make cities. It is a space of exploration and exchange wherein diverse urban stakeholders connect to question our practices, learn from existing alternatives, and create new urban imaginaries. We mobilize and train stakeholders in urban construction and development to think collectively and act collaboratively toward a more just, healthy, and sustainable urban environment.

In times in which levels of pollution are constantly rising, we are forced to think about our future and the future of following generations. Sustainability has become an indispensable core of any project rather than just an option. We have to undertake actions for our planet to last as long as it can. This project aims to demonstrate how little effort is needed to bring about a radical change in the quality of our built environment.

Buzludzha is a masterpiece of architecture, engineering and art. It is also one of the most iconic and significant buildings of post-war modernism in Europe. It was built in 1981 to celebrate Bulgarian communism, which was the reason to be abandoned and looted in the 90'ies. Today Buzludzha has the potential to transform the trauma of the past into a cause to unite people, allowing open dialogue and common understanding. It can educate, foster tolerance and develop sustainability.

The three themes Food, Nature and History have been translated throughout the Pianosa island in order to regenerate it in its entirety: both the Penal Colony and the country. The architectural project allows the coexistence of a recovery of the Old Port area together with a new area dedicated to the Glamping. An idea based on four keywords, permeability, sustainability, essentiality and modularity, in order to achieve the recycling targets aimed at the social reintegration of inmates.
