Heritage management institution, local arts initiative, urban gardening community and passionate heritage volunteers working together for 5 years to change the abandoned First World War heritage site to a resilient community hub in harmony with nature and history.

Largely based on voluntary effort and with limited funds, this has been a long, open co-creation process which has led to a unique place for arts and culture, biodiversity and community urban gardening with sustainability at heart.

Imagine Montessori School is a reference eco-school internationally renowned for its ability to amalgamate its Montessori pedagogy from 1 to 18 years with its sustainability approach and entrepreneurship spirit as its dorsal spine.

We have recovered ancestral construction techniques that combined with high-tech allowed us to achieve a double sustainability certification (Breeam Excellent and Green four leaves).

The School melts in a single ecosystem the nature, sun-light and open indoor spaces

Obsidiana COMPAC is a pioneering material in sustainability, produced with 100% recycled glass and is 100% recyclable. Thus, it establishes a mileston in construction and deisgn since it takes advantage of all the glas waste generated by the Society, giving it a new use for architecture. In addition, thanks to the years of work of the R+D+i department, a beautiful and unique design inspired by volcanic crystals is achieved. 

Training center is not only a building. First of all it's a common public space. The building and surronding space were designed as the extension of the public promenade.
A space in front of building with tribune, covered part and whole roof became attractive public space and next part of wharf important to people. Canoe section gained new audience, fans and potential pupils and its work is becaming visible and transparent.
 

The Path of the Wises is an educational roleplaying game that pushes the players to empathize with a hero that will settle current issues of our world, in a fantastic kingdom that is inspired by the greek myths.

The game fuels creativity and pushes collaboration because no one knows the ending, that will be built with the players’ choices. The non-judgmental ambience opens the people in a condition of great creativity, fundamental to think innovative solutions to problems dealt with.

DOMINO is an innovative adaptive facade system used in deep renovation actions to promote the ecological transition towards PEB models. The technological solution was developed according to CIRCULAR economy principles through dry-assembled recycled and recyclable materials. The goal is to change the appearance of our cities, improving the indoor and outdoor comfort of the Built Environment.

The projects Bildung.Wald.Landschaft, Holzbau-Handwerk-Stärken, HolzBauFeld and Selbstbauzentrum developed within the design studio Gehren-Forest.Land.Future, intend to showcase possible ways to use the potentials of the rural landscape to create an impetus for a discussion on sustainable development trajectories for the town Gehren, located in the Thuringian Forest. They are examples for a way of working that develops landscape-based potentials and uses these as a base for sustainable regrowth.

Voxel is a 12m2 CLT structure clad in a parametric rainscreen whose primary materials never left the surrounding forest. ‘Waste’ streams are reimagined as circular flows, for instance by repurposing off-cuts as an organic skin. A quarantine cabin, Voxel accommodates one isolated occupant. Solar panels power lighting and devices. Water collection and recycling integrate with biogas treatment. Optimizing pre-fabrication and rapid deployment, the entire structure was mounted in position by crane.

In 2009 the Dolomites became a UNESCO site. And what should people do, in this spectacular context? Improve it, or simply take advantage of it?

Since 2011, we have been facing great, unmoving, difficult sites, to relaunch them. Abandoned former factories, holiday villages, high-quality historic architectures. They are precious resources, which must be made available once more. Through ideas, networks, and strategies, through art and culture: we reignite them, give them new functions.

The Local Activity Center is a project that aims to create a space that would be the focal point for the life of the local residents and enable them to integrate. The architecture creates space rather than being the visible cubature itself.

The structure of the building is based on a rectangular plan with a twisted roof surface. The seats, which are integrated with the roof, can be used both during outdoor events and in everyday use as resting places.
