A project of research, pedagogy, and curatorship of debates & displays with a framework for cultural ecology with digital technology as part of the New European Bauhaus agenda. It involves the colaboration of Cies / Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon, ESAD.CR - Higher School of Arts & Design / Polytechnic of Leiria, and cultural spaces including Joana Vasconcelos Studio & the Project Travessa da Ermida in Lisbon.
DesignLibrary Kaunas is a cultural project aimed to diffuse design culture and build a community around design. Established in 2016 at Kaunas university of technology-KTU (Lithuania) in collaboration with Italian partners. It is not 'just a library,' but a living cultural laboratory, where people from different disciplines meet, experience, and develop design. The library has become an exemplary case of how design culture can be built and developed in places far from design culture.
This urban renewal project consists of a cohousing for students in the musical field. This project is located in the historic center of Barcelona, where the building coexists with the Roman wall of the city, which is recovered thanks to the intervention of this project, and becomes the focus of the area, thus making the city look at the Roman wall instead of turning your back on it. At the same time, the public space generated recovers ruins of Roman constructions adjacent to the wall.
We believe that platform culture has reached a tipping point. Rather than create a whole new space online, we preferred to share one across communities and open our toolbox for other loose collectives.
The original aim of the project was to engage with new media for online collaboration, and provide a departure point for autonomous publishing and peer to peer work across communities. In order to do so we joined De Liceiras 18 and agreed to share what we learnt by adopting Temporary.show
Founded in 1986, Domaine de Boisbuchet is an international research center for design, art and architecture. The campus is surrounded by 150 hectares of protected nature in southwest France and comprises an architectural park of historic and contemporary buildings. Boisbuchet's workshops, exhibitions, residencies and events as well as an outstanding design collection and library serve professional guests and visitors from the neighboring and global community alike.
The design studio Futu has designed a National symbol system for waste sorting in Denmark, consisting of 91 symbols and in co-creation with 3000 people.
The 91 symbols help citizens to sort waste better and help living a more sustainable life, by recycling waste and creating awareness about consumption and materials.
The system has gained a lot of attention from abroad and is developed in a Nordic inspired design, based on innovation, aesthetics, technology and craftsmanship.
The project is based on the perspective of viewing the urban as a constructed ecosystem. Taking this perspective, every form of life that contributes to the preservation of a livable and biodiverse environment comes to the fore and is taken into account in the process of imagining, developing and realizing a just and ecological society.
"Wyspianski" and „Wyspianski. Unknown” exhibitions at the National Museum in Krakow were the the largest in the history of this museum (2360 sqm) and contained almost 1000 artworks by Stanislaw Wyspianski - one of the most important Polish artists. The exhibition was extremely succesful with over 350 000 visitors and it also had an educational aspect, introducing this unique art to broader audience, also the younger generation.
Project for the definition of standards and implementation of a Toolkit to create and replicate systemic events with reduced environmental impact. A pilot event will be realised in Barcelona in collaboration with the Posidonia Green Festival, focusing on promoting local culture and products through an immersive and educational experience around responsible consumption and good practices of daily living.
