The aim of the project is to create a timber bus terminal that blends into a pleasant urban environment. The building is connected with non-motorised traffic trajectories and the car oriented space is transformed into a natural city park. The constructive wooden elements are inspired by Japanese joint system and are adapted to specific room typologies, while the module creates a gradually rising space that allows to divide spaces while preserving spaciousness.

Transportation and electricity production are responsible for the 57% of total CO2 emissions to the atmosphere. How can architecture benefit from raw energy to decimate these two industries?

This is not a Dune is a case study on how to use raw energy to develop the biggest urban transformation of Cádiz.

Hydrogen is the key to our green future in unity with nature for a good quality of life and sound health. The Municipality of Belene has piloted a hydrogen solution for the transition period - we have integrated an electrolyser system that produces hydrogen fuel on-site and adds it to the heating system of our administrative building, thereby reducing the used conventional fuel by around 40% and harmful emission, CO2 in particular by 30%. Expansion to 100% H2 heating powered by solar is planned.

The City of Kiel wants to make its inner city more attractive. Therefore a former busy street is transformed into an urban space which connects through several water planes to the fjord. Planning was accompanied by intensive citizen’s participation. The new space attracts people, has high amenity and offers a nice sojourn, improves the microclimate and helps cleaning the water. The course of the project recurs to a former moat around the city core, thus strengthening the identity of the place.

Yum design creates furniture from marine plastic waste. The studio wants to reinvent the current image of recycled plastic products. We want to clean the sea with good designs and furniture´s provides a platform to recycle great amount of marine plastic. The project counts with a well define brand image that maintains a close relationship with its community on social media. Our community is part of the brand itself, validating designs and content.

Las huellas del camino is an emotional journey through the land and the self. A recorded pilgrimage from Plasencia to Guadalupe through Monfragüe road. This journey will be a physical, mental and emotional journey for each one of the stops included in the route, where there will be a three to five day stay to work with the inhabitants of each town, with a final lecture and a professional performance around the common topic: the loss and mourning. CONJUNTOS is a project at Carlos III University to promote interdisciplinarity in higher education, providing spaces for meeting and dialogue between different areas of knowledge. University education has traditionally been organized around disciplines that are too compartmentalized. This project is based on the need for pedagogical innovation models that promote synergies between specialties, social inclusion and the interconnection of the artistic and scientific communities.
