Pe Firul Apei showcases how safeguarding the environment has the dual effect of nurturing each individual's well-being and enriching the collective welfare, all while responsibly tending to our natural surroundings. Set in a riverside community in Petroșani, a city in the Jiu Valley JT region, it showcases the transformative impact of reevaluating the human-nature connection from a life-centered perspective and offers a glimpse on how this can lead to rejuvenating the urban natural environment.

Initiated as a response to post-communist community rehabilitation in Bulgaria, “Active Neighbourhoods” aims to enhance civic space in Bulgaria’s urban communities through democratic participation in the development of beautiful, sustainable and inclusive public spaces and promotion of local policies in public administrations. With local residents' involvement at its core, the initiative addresses the global challenge of democratic decline.

Discover 14 interactive installations showcasing nature and environmental research,explore art under microscopes,dive into virtual reality for Liepāja Lake's secrets,and see the circular economy through the perspectives of fish farming and horticulture,or the so-called aquaponics system.Our curriculum includes lessons on creatures like Madagascar cockroaches and Australian weaver ants. Rain or shine engage in bird research and do cattle dissection to understand deeper human anatomy.

The greenhouses of western Almeria extend to almost touch the sea in the Port of Roquetas. To the east, Cabo de Gata serves as a backdrop to a rich landscape of boats that reminds us of the importance of the sea in the history of this land. This project aims to mediate between both worlds, greenhouses and boats.

Showpass project aims to demonstrate to the wide public that retrofitting dwellings toward zero emissions is advantageous both on economic and cultural level. The project consists in a CO2-zero certified showroom with real inhabitants, opening their home to interested visitors, and showing them the real benefits of energy retrofit. Improving health, comfort and economic resilience are explained in a real context of a normal mediterranean dwelling. Real examples simplify the understanding !

On the old industrial site of the Graumann textile company directly in the centre of Traun, a secondary town with approx. 25,000 inhabitants in Upper Austria, the Graumann-Viertel was developed as a new urban neighbourhood based on a multi-use approach. The development focused on "happy residents and neighbours" (under the assumption that happy people are good for society and the environment as well) as well as reviving the (extinct) city centre, pioneering innovations and real sustainability.

Viana Abordo presents itself to its community as a safe haven for debate of local challenges, from an entrepreneurial and open innovation perspective. A moment of mutual learning and sharing where every participant has a relevant role and everyone has an active and decisive part in identifying current challenges and in co-creating possible solutions opportunities that can stem from them. All sessions are different and prepared specifically and the results are shared with local policymakers.

Cederhusen demands attention with its 13 floors and 245 apartments spread across four buildings and two blocks. Its innovative use of 8800 m3 of Swedish timber makes it a standout solid wood project in a city center context. It sets an example for battling climate change through innovation and quality architecture. Inspired by Stockholm's 'stone town', its cedarshingles façade, clear order and structure make it a residential marvel and a captivating addition to the urban landscape.

Univerbal (Liege, Belgium) trains migrant women community interpreters and is an intermediary with the local healthcare services employing them. Univerbal empowers its beneficiaries: Univerbal’s interpreters receive quality and tailored training, regain self-esteem, combat structural unemployment, provide service directly helping other migrants, and have shared governance of their project. Those receiving interpretations obtain affordable, quality services with short waiting time.

The new technology give us huge opportunities to re-discover and exploit the old best practices for emergency situation and it make them more available for large number of people and especially for kids. The radios in PMR band offer to the kids a opportunity to discover a way for their future job or make them better to interact and talk with other kids about their needs or hard situations they have in a way to find the best solution.
