Délaissé is a project that is structured in stages, establishing the return of natural processes, providing free spaces inaccessible to man, whose goal is indecision for appropriation over time. An ‘extreme’ way, a necessary choice, which trusts in time and in the ability of nature to multiply, proliferate and regenerate. The area of investigation are the residual spaces in the mining sector, specifically a disused quarry area adjacent to the historic Bridges of Vara - Carrara Italy.

«ACT» is a prototypical investigation of a new residential high-rise building typology, situated in territories of extreme climate conditions, enabling a healthy lifestyle within those by introducing an architecture of gradients.

The tower promotes a contextual shift away from current dependence, provoking a polyvalent interior-habitat where prevailing exterior conditions are not the predominant context anymore.

This results in a new cultural identity based on a local climate discourse.

Glass is everywhere ! While designers and architects often explore this material in term of shapes and structure, its chromatic potential has been underestimated. The Icelandic-German design studio "Studio Brynjar & Veronika" has developed with the Cirva (a French art centre) a unique glass colour archive. The palette encompasses more than 1000 samples of cast glass with idiosyncratic recipes. It gives the opportunity to "paint with glass" to design new environments made of light and colour.

UFOdress® is a piece from the collection Unlimited Fashion Objects,
UFOdress® represents play in fashion. It originated in design experiment, seeking
greatest variability in wear. UFOdress® can be worn in more than 50
ways, as a dress, pants or skirt; it is a capsule wardrobe, suits all
occasions, has an educational aspect, prompts reflection on
unnecessary clothes shopping, allows one to find unique variations,
and stimulates creativity. Its production leaves
nearly no waste.

With Custom Station, we propose a bold new way of constructing railway infrastructure. We combine technologies like 3d-printing with the railway networks, to create mobile construction plants. These can build railway infrastructures where they are needed, using local resources and adapting to the needs of local communities. This combination of systemized fabrication and crafting buildings locally allows for a more sustainable and inclusive way to create the infrastructure of the 21^st century.

Move it! aims to transform the streets of Brussel from car-centric to ecosystem-oriented, by designing the necessary protocols for the democratization of public space and designing desirable built objects of reappropriation. The process encompasses the scale of parametric planning and the scope of citizen participation. We all become co-curators of our streets by being given the tools to act and mediate our future of public space, a collective space of encounters, starting at our front doors.

We need "recruits" who are passionate about vindicating the practice of freehand drawing as an enduring and universal form of language with which to know, document, and preserve both the tangible and intangible European heritage, as well as the environment in which we live. Based on the lessons learned in this EU funded project a new design innovation policy needs broadening in five aspects, including:

• The scope of design beyond form-giving and aesthetic orientation
• The scope of design-driven innovation beyond aesthetic and soft innovation
• The agents of innovation beyond the business and SMEs
• Policy goal setting beyond productivity and firm performance
• Policy action taking beyond individual and organizational levels.

A vegetarian pop-up restaurant in an unfinished apartment overlooking the rooftops of Riga. Venue 54 is the result of hands-on workshops by the design team, chef, his friends and select local craftsmen. Its interior is a combination of one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces, the chef’s existing furniture, and practical purchases. Scaffolding serves as a miniature urban farm. The restaurant invites diners to contemplate on consumerism and interpretations of beauty, and inspires creative experimentation.
