Orbes is a modern digital craft studio that revalues broken or incomplete pieces of antiques, giving them a new life through Generative Adversarial Networks and 3D printing. Orbes is a collaboration between machine learning and designers to create hand-and-machine-made, sustainable, unique, contemporary designs.
Hardboard is a fully plant-based material made from forestry industry rejects. It has high mechanical and sensory performance, able to replace most of the materials used in everyday life as plastics or concrete. It is less energy and chemical-intensive than other materials such as paper or cardboard. It is durable, healthy, accessible, easily workable, and stores carbon all along its lifetime.
This project is about improving our world by promoting hardboard so that it can switch other material.

‘Rhapsody in West’ proves that urban densification can be attractive and sustainable, even when facing economic and environmental constraints. The project is innovative and sustainable. Resident participation in this formally deprived area generated wide support for the project. The design creates an inviting public urban communal space with water and greenery, that solves noise and air pollution issues and reduces energy demands.

Irota EcoLodge is a unique sustainable holiday resort in Northern Hungary. It is the first, and so far the only carbon-neutral accommodation in Hungary and in the wider region. The two Dutch owners show that sustainability through circularity and net-zero carbon can go hand in hand with luxury tourism. Even though the resort is located in one of the poorest regions of the EU, this is a commercially viable project that did not need require any subsidies to make it happen.
