Due to concerns regarding the sustainability of the surfing industry due in large part to the use of plastics, the eco-friendly boards industry has seen a rebirth over the past decade. Web Shaping Bay is a web-based, user-friendly and accessible platform developed in order for the eco-boards industry to overcome the obstacles hindering it from competing with mass-produced boards - namely high costs and performance concerns - by incorporating technology into more traditional production processes.

Greenovate project tries to revitalize and beautify the center of Kozani adding greening space through window boxes, planters and benches in main corridors of the center, on the pedestrian places across the town’s market area. The stars of the project are young students who give ideas, draw plans and play roles towards a neutral climate city by 2030. Their ideas become a reality transforming ex-industrial material into modern urban equipment performing circular economy in practice

How can we discuss inclusive cities when most streets are dedicated to men? Committing a road to one person, as opposed to another, implies celebrating all the values associated with them. Research has shown a correlation between a city’s gender bias in street names and cultural factors, like gender equality in that city. Street names are not neutral, and it is time to talk about them so that all citizens feel included and represented by the values that cities celebrate.

BICIFICATION is the EIT Urban Mobility project rewarding urban cyclists in Braga, Istanbul, and Tallinn with economic incentives. The project adopted the patented system by Pin Bike for the certification, monitoring, and gamification of urban bike rides.

The cooperative project represents a succesful approach to combine today’s challenges with intelligent building solutions, energy efficiency, affordable rents as well as social and cultural goals. Despite the creation of additional apartments and common areas, the size and quality of the outdoor space was maintained. The new variety of service facilities and a mixture of household guarantees lifelong perspectives and social cohesion. - an architectural landmark and a win-win-situation for all.

The project responds to the challenge of reducing the food-chain impact of the Frassati Cooperative (Turin-Italy) finding and testing new solutions for 5 night-shelters for the homeless, welcoming 100 people per day.
Studio SHIFT designed a digital solution that helps trace the emissions during the path of food and measure the positive impact of Frassati's food-recovery practice. We prove the design approach can bring innovation to a complex challenge, opening-up solutions to a wider target.

If we are not counted, how do we count? In addition to finally making Italian disability data available and accessible, Disabled Data brought the problem to light. Nobody in fact knows exactly how many disabled people there are in Italy. The national institute for statistics records the number through a sample survey that turned out to be inaccurate, compared to reality. How can laws be made on the subject if we do not even know how big the phenomenon is and who is part of it?

The ,,Dreamy" project opens up questions or provides answers about the truth of human condition in time and space, shown through the methodology of the scientific-artistic language, trying to ennoble people’s life, by lifting it into boundless time spaces and into some other, more caring, but also more conscious perceptions. The emphasis in the paintings and drawings of the ,,Deep Park" projects is on environmental awareness and beauty of city parks.
