NEB Prizes 2023: All Applications

Mezze-Escola is a rights based sustainable inclusion intervention that supports social and economic integration of migrants in European Countries. Through a 6 months certified program in the HORECA sector our beneficiaries gain both professional skills (with off and on-job training), and access to the labour market. In addition to the technical modules, our participants delve into critical topics such as personal and social development, language learning, sustainability, legislation and finance.

INFRA, https://infra-magazine.com, is a new digital platform for cultural interchange. Created with the aim of cross-connecting visual arts sectors, this digital publication focuses on presenting geographical, curatorial and cultural dialogues.

GENERAL: To transform the relationship between the local community and drivers.
SPECIFIC: to make the mobility of people with disabilities in urban centres more inclusive by experimenting with a network of fixed and mobile smart devices, and to reduce the environmental impact and the risk of road accidents too.
Beneficiaries
DIRECT: Managers of venues, events and public car parks.
INDIRECT: users with disabilities and special needs and drivers in general.

The goal of the Forest and Sustainability project is to link the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using our forests as a common thread. We seek to
associate air and water quality with the woodlands in order to make young people aware of how important these resources are in the struggle against
climate change.

The school biodynamic farm is a key resource in the school space for reinforcing the values of sustainable development, children's connection to nature, developing self-esteem and healthy interpersonal relationships through work with soil, wood, art, manual skills, social and cooperative games, which allow children to develop optimally instead of being competitive and alienated by overexposure to modern technologies.

The NCC Wood Academy is an experimental learning process designed to assist one of Northern Europe’s largest builders to change in less than 5 years from 100% concrete and steel building to 50% biosourced structures. Aimed at their interdivisional leadership class -who left school long ago, and have very little free time- it transmits knowledge, but also enthusiasm, confidence and creates new networks of cooperative virtuous action across Europe.

The lack of services and infrastructure due to economic or racial differences are some of the weak elements that arise in today's cities. This project is born, of integral action, so that all citizens have entrance to a more fair and egalitarian world, and we believe that access to training and culture in the form of a library is fundamental. We seek a more social Europe, pursue the implementation of social rights, fight poverty and improve access to basic public resources.

The project aims to create a new experience in the municipal Art Gallery of Chania, Crete, Greece implemented through the technology of Virtual Reality (VR). Within the framework of an art exhibition inspired by and dedicated to modern Greek history. The goal is to eperiment with a new approach of getting in touch with the gallery and the artwork, through an interactive virtual experience that exploits digitization and3D mapping, highlighting the cultural content of the exhibition.

The Holwerd Coast Academy, for Applied Climate Adaptation & Mienskip (HCA), is part of the bottom-up project Holwerd aan Zee. This "Breakthrough for man and nature" aims to reconnect the village Holwerd, and its residents, with the dynamics of the Wadden Sea. Right through the dike! Resulting in an ecological and economic boost for the entire region. On average more than 100 HCA students annually contribute in an applied way to climate adaptation & Mienskip (Frisian for community involvement).

Climate change is here and we can't continue as we are. The problem is obvious, but where to start? As alone you will fail in frustration. Our call therefore goes out to all urban gardeners, politicians, planners, activists, artists and technology enthusiasts - to students and just as much to experienced doers and professors, whether you are involved in your neighborhood or at the United Nations: "Motivated people of all disciplines unite - the future is a collaborative project!
