This diploma project is understood as the development and implementation of a new productive system, based on the existing Scottish reforestation campaigns. The project focuses on scripting the introduction of agro-forestry as a system. While striving to design the transformation of the landscape and soils with plots of agro-forestry, forest conservation, agriculture and reforestation, the project is thus interested in developing a resilient future for a rurality in search of regeneration.

Activity Earth House is a permanent house that will be used temporarily. While the location of the project was specified in the forests in Slovenia, conception could be implemented at different places. The design aims to avoid the non functionality of the house when it is not used by landlords. The sustainability of the house is another essential point in this project in order to reach zero carbon emission targets through the use of organic construction materials, techniques and energy systems.

Nature’s Library is a nucleus of peace, surrounded by elements of nature expressing the cycles of water and growth. It brings back to life the historical period when an Augustinian monastery existed on the site and connects it with the present by inviting different community groups to interact in one space. The installation merges into the fabric of the historic ensemble by collecting and reusing rainwater and providing the local community with an opportunity to grow herbs and spices.

What about a place where tourism meets local culture, where tourists meet citizens? A place of exchange, connection, inclusion and requalification.

Originated from the deep gap between tourist and cultural industries in Italy, Cultural Resorts want to promote a new business model combining tourist resorts and cultural centers, trying to foster a new, sustainable sense of tourism.

Trash Peak emerge from the moral obligation each surfer has to take care of the enviroment where he is happy, the ocean. Our beaches are crowded with tons of plastic that poisson our seasides.

In the consumerist times we live our brand choose to reuse materials instead of producing new ones. The basis of this project is to produce sustainable and acologic surfboards from the recycled plastics collected from the beach by using 3D printing technologies. 

Over the past few years bee population has been drastically declining as people have started to care less. At HeyBee, we create 3D printed bee homes can be set up anywhere. We also offer companies with personalized bee homes with their logo. This gives them the opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment. Our vision is that every garden, every balcony, and every rooftop will have a bee home, connecting people back to nature. Together we can change the world, one bee home at a time.

Venice and its lagoon are a world heritage site and are well known all over the world for their beauty. Yet, outside the most famous islands, there is an archipelago of forgotten places that have participated in the history of the city. Today these islands are abandoned and suffer from neglect, rubbish and in some cases building speculation. The aim of this project is to recover this heritage, to return it to the population and to create a new, more conscious kind of tourism.

Local communities and agents are offered an app to understand, enhance, manage, and promote their landscape through the local heritage. The design of the app is based on digital mapping, narrative construction, network analysis and route design. The aim of the app is to offer a pleasant and enjoyable experience that causes greater awareness, knowledge and pride in the rich local heritage pieces and how they contribute to the character, uniqueness, identity and culture of a region. 

In an effort to strengthen our collective European identity, this project proposes to convert a former correctional facility and its adjacent park into an archive of European cultural heritage. While the prison will function as a digital archive, the nearby park will be used to display cultural elements which can not be digitised. By actively preserving and celebrating what defines us as a democratic union, we can build a commonality between member states and ideally make the EU more cohesive.

Has fashion gone too far, too fast? How about it being sustainable, unisex, flexible?
