We are Zero Wave - our mission is to turn waste into resources, by making 100% biodegradable tableware and food products from a material, which is thrown on the landfill, generating a huge amount of methane in the air - the by product that comes after the production of beer - brewer's spent grain.
Once a working-class neighbourhood known for its vibrant social scene and progressive community, Žizkov has been subject to market pressure, with private development pushing locals out. Reclaim Žižkov aims to resuscitate the neighbourhood by creating desirable, affordable and sustainable housing. In partnership with the district town hall, Reclaim Žizkov intends to convert vacant municipal property into a living network that includes shared spaces and is based on cooperative management, offering a new paradigm for cities losing their spirit.
Under the theme “Productive Cities” of Europan 15, our project focuses on the city of Laterza, rediscovering cultural traditions and the unique natural environment. Proposing and promoting a new identity for the territory, the institutions are willing to rediscover the cultural offer in order to enhance touristic flows. Thereby, the centre of Laterza embraces the opportunity of becoming an important showcase for traditional craft products for citizens, enterprises and tourists.
The objectif of A New Hope is to provide one solution for two of the mains problems at the European Union: refugees crisis and depopulation.
On one side there are PEOPLE who have lost their home, friends and family members because of war. On the other side there are TERRITORIES with almost empty villages and only a few elderly inhabitants. Both have one thing in common: NO FUTURE.
