The ESPIDA art project of the Piñor Psychiatric Hospital uses Art Brut as a catalyst for the humanisation of psychiatric care for people with severe mental disorders in medium and long-stay hospitals.  Its implementation has succeeded in transforming hospital dynamics and therapeutics and in opening a creative space to society. The Toén-Piñor collection includes in its catalogue a very significant number of carvings, sculptures, paintings, sketches, models and writings.

November 21, 2020 – National Tree’s Day: about 40 people from the “Voce degli Alberi” and other environmental groups, manage to plant more than 70 trees: they provide supporting rods, tie the tree labels and put meshes around the young trunks, stretch fertilizer, cover with mulch. Even local Environment Councilor bring his own spade and dig some holes. Citybirds is an award-winning scooter company created to change the way we commute on the streets. It was created in 2014 when most people considered scooters as toys, not sophisticated tools for commuters. I had a kick scooter myself and thought that it's a brilliant way to move in short distances. But the scooter I had was ugly looking and had dozens of engineering issues. Therefore, I decided to create one for myself and my friends. And this is when the crazy journey began...

The subject of the following work focuses on the issue of shaping urban in flood-prone areas. The main challenge for the city of future is to find a balance between a compact city – one in which daily travel distances are as short as possible – and a green city with maximum land retention capacity. This project describes the functional zoning method based on flood risk. It is looking for solutions for the co-evolution of built environment and nature.

Dry sea weed leaves of our protected Posidonia Oceanica abundantly cover our beaches each autumn so we decided to remove it sustainably. Therefore we 1st designed sea weed pillow, received quality label "Croatian island product", nice feedback from users and overwhelming national media coverage. We gave pillows to asthma and sinus patients and they confirmed it helps them whenever they use it. Then we noticed it goes to dust after frequent usage so we found a way to use that dust.

The aim of this project is to rethink the transformation of the old industrial area at Refshaleøen, Copenhagen. The project unfolds in different scales, from urban investigations to building design, both programmatic and building typologies. Uncertain plans for the district opens the questions for the development of Copenhagen. Do we design governed by certain market forces or to facilitate urban life, or can we build somewhere at the critical intersection? 

The invention relates to the field of energy technology and mobile power supply equipment. The mobile modular energy unit provides power generation and supply to users such as temporary medical camps, disaster relief sites, temporary search and rescue camps, refugee camps, temporary recreation camps, and other unclassified buildings. Nowadays quickly installable and energy-efficient ventilation system with heat recovery is essential to ensure adequate indoor air quality.

Latest EU programs related to energy efficiency underline the need for retrofitting existing buildings, responsible for 40% of EU final energy consumption. This proposition deals with the issue of rethinking the common practices in the retrofitting of modern heritage, integrating the thermal improvement with the architectural preservation and inclusiveness. We aim to demonstrate that it is an advisable solution, applying our idea to three emblematic buildings in the UNESCO site of Ivrea.

The small timber pavillion is located at the former Spinelli Barracks in Mannheim, currently a refugee centre, and was conceived and erected by the engagement of architecture students and faculty from the University of Kaiserslautern. Twenty-five refugees also assisted with the building, which acts as a community space for the enclave. Local building companies pitched in and helped to finish this unique isle of meeting - where the cultural exchange already started with the first spate soil.
