“What is achievable to improve Munich’s public space?” - with this idea we started the “Referat für Stadtverbesserung*” (Department for urban enhancement). We are oriented to municipal works, turning already existing concepts and decisions into reality. Architectural interventions and simulations are aimed at creating disruptive moments, which question the dominance of traffic and introduce other uses to create democratic spaces, making the city socially and ecologically resilient.

OpenStructures is a design methodology for modular and cooperative construction. It facilitates circular material flows and simplifies repair and reuse. By anticipating and integrating future adjustments into the DNA of building components, it generates widely interchangeable parts and objects that can be adapted and repaired indefinitely. OpenStructures unfolds through an ongoing exploration by a community of authors that test and evaluate its potential in a variety of disciplines.

Our goal is to give rise to a social aquaponic farm that:

Increase and improve agricultural productivity to generate more profitable production models. We propose a resilient solution to climate change, to promote the stability of crops. Moreover the system consists of an oportunity to work integration for disables, since it is thought without architectural barriers.

Promote knowledge creating courses for high schools about sustainable agriculture and social innovation.

Mitigating climate change, reducing fossil-resource dependence while maintaining the standards of living are driving forces for the transformation to Bioeconomy. Gamma-valerolactone-based biorefinery employs a green organic solvent from nature to fractionate biomass to produce existing commodities such as textiles, platform chemicals, fuels and energy, in a more sustainable manner. 

Born for the drying of tabacco and synthesis of a landscape intended for work, the ancient factory called ‘Il Castello’ is recovered for new uses, opening up to the Community as a court of collective knowledge, theater of public-private synergies aimed at regenerating the land over which it dominates. Respect for environmental values has led the intervention to develop almost exclusively inside the building, reconfigured in order to restore its semantic identity in the contemporary dimension.

The environment and the climate are at the centre of the FLUMEN project, that combines art with science, with a view to communicating with, educating and empowering citizens to take ownership of Climate Action and imagine a better future within the full respect of the ecosystems that we inhabit, create and protect.

beyondLAB is a concept of a place for many future dimensions. beyondLAB is more than a promise of urban regeneration, context revitalization or new public space. beyondLAB_Research Center focused on Urban Mobility, came from The New European Bauhaus initiative statement and its promising strategies. Also, both the concept and the proposed site(in Bucharest) complete the city`s needs. beyondLAB started as a concept for an architecture thesis project, currently being in the designing phase.
