An abandoned space in Artena is reborn as an open path, transforming into a vibrant entrance to the city, where inclusion and community take center stage. Dedicated to Willy Monteiro Duarte, it symbolizes openness, memory, and resilience. Through art, storytelling, and participation, it welcomes all, inviting everyone to be part of a new, shared urban space where the city opens up and smiles again.
The Tinyhaus in straw bale construction and the conversion of a section of the hall, as well as the integration of the entire ensemble and the bakery in the centre of the village, already offer the possibility of highly effective public and climate education work during development and, in operation, stand for a sustainable conversion and cultural revitalisation of agricultural teaching stands, as well as the entire community through the cooperation of municipal and urban actors.
The Vetto Social Club is a music pub, co-working hub and rehearsal studio nested on the Italian Apenninese near Reggio Emilia. Kick-started by a community engagement co-creation platform and boosted by a local community cooperative, the project due to complete on site in Summer 2025 will increase resilience against hydrogeological risk and climate change, increase local engagement through the coordination of the community cooperative and support cultural regeneration in remote mountain areas.
The Municipality of Silandro aims to transform an underused outdoor are located on the ground of a former military barrack into an inclusive, sustainable public space through co-creation with local citizens. The project will restore the place by replanting trees, adding shaded seating, historical boards, and hosting community events. The former lifeguard base, known as the Red Shed, begins its history long before 1867. The building is of special historical significance to the area, built of red brick listed in the register of historical monuments. Renovation and reconstruction of the “Red Shed” in Ustka for cultural purposes. Socio-cultural activities will be carried out in the building, mainly for young people, including activities in field of civic awareness and cultural education. The offer will be year-round.

Saint Hilaire-sur-Benaize, a rural village of 315 residents, is converting its former school into two affordable, energy-efficient rental units adapted to climate change. With rural areas struggling to attract families due to the lack of such housing, this project aims to meet local demand for sustainable living. The renovation relies on residents’ inputs and will preserve the building’s historical charm while improving energy efficiency.
