eWood is made with the Carbon that trees take away from the atmosphere. Using wood preserves Carbon, helping in Climate Change control.Urban wood is necessarily produced in maintenance and renewal. Producing craft and art objects prevents its landfill disposal. Environmental balance is better then with imported wood.New tools are available to work on urban logs.A new economy based on urban wood is rising up. Today, the Earth's biodiversity is being lost at an alarming rate. By embodying elements of lesser known plant species, our project can highlight this issue and increase knowledge of the natural world. Each 3D printed clay artefact tells a unique story. Aesthetically, we take inspiration from little known, weird and wonderful plants and fungi by 3D scanning them and giving new life through parametric design using local clays and pigments from the same regions as the objects we re-imagine.

CircusAid programs build resilience, mental health, and community connection through engagement in circus activities delivered to increase social, emotional, physical, and cognitive capacities. The projects are implemented in partnership with local NGOs to help service recipients heal from trauma, feel a sense of belonging and connection to their community, and gain life skills to enable engagement in meaningful occupations. 

For several years, the association Hospiz am Saalebogen had been looking for a location in our small town for the establishment of an inpatient hospice. In the end, a suitable object was found in form of a vacant villa in a historic garden dating back to the 1920s. Two existing listed buildings have been supplemented by a new building, creating 10 residents´ rooms. The hospice has been integrated into the extensive park, which hosts nature trees and water areas. The garden is open to the public.

In a suburb of Rennes, Haddock Architecture have converted a storage hall with an agricultural past into residential space for two families. Thanks to the solar roof, efficient technology and good insulation, the house requires only half as much energy as permitted by French law.

The volumes and the existing oak structure are preserved: they constitute the traces of its industrial past. The project plays on the contradiction and the complex relationship between low and high tech.

The public bench represents a close practical and emotional link between the city and its citizens. It is a key element for urban well-being and as "service station for pedestrians" it facilitates active mobility. However, the equipment of public space with benches is often decided without the participation of the users. hogga.me allows all citizens to describe and share their seating needs and preferences in a low-threshold way. It is especially aimed at people with special seating needs.

‘Lusk for Life’ is a community led Action Plan for the small Irish town of Lusk. It provides a model for a community-led urban renewal, making best use of existing assets and latent potential in Lusk to plan for the next decade. The focus is on climate resilient strategies, including designs and proposals for more intensive use of public and green space, active travel networks, biodiversity and densification of the historic town centre.

ECHO is a project in the field of cultural heritage and arts. It aims to enhance cultural production and reinforce the European sense of belonging by connecting contemporary artistic creation with the heritage of European local communities beyond the limits of the EU and in specific in the Balkan region. ECHO includes a network of places/communities were heritage is subject to research and artistic creation: Bitola, Prespa Lake, Spetses Island, Novi Sad, Smolyan, Sofia, Veliki Preslav and Gyor.

You may think that the European district is deserted outside working hours... think again! Behind the façade of the building at 104 Rue d’Arlon, life is flourishing. The building, which had been empty for over ten years, found new life with StamEuropa, a place of dialogue and meeting. Everyone’s welcome: district inhabitants, Brussels citizens and simple passers-by. A passionate debate, creative workshops or astonishing shows; a varied programme invites the visitor to shape Brussels and Europe.
