This kiosk proposes an intervention in the visual landscape and attempts to integrate a series of binaries: gabion / concrete block, roof / columns, locals / visitors, play / production, to develop a space for interaction, storytelling and local craft. Familiar materials of previous communities are implemented and showcased as pieces within the gabion walls, to reinterpret it as a vibrant new community space for the transmission of traditional knowledge, new skills, local craft and display.

This project takes its cue from the growing realization that humans are not the only ones with agency on this planet. Animals do too. Cards for More-Than-Humanity is an online tool bringing awareness to the more-than-human world in design processes. It generates random scenarios, bringing together human and nonhuman needs and narratives. The designer is confronted with a new perspective to reflect on in relation to their product, bringing all users a step closer to a more inclusive world.

The Student Garden is a place where nature and man meet, a place of an inexhaustible source of creativity and change. By taking care of the garden, students create a community of young people who carefully include and respect every element of the environment that surrounds us. From seed to fruit, from curiosity to experience and from an idea to reality. The Student Garden initiative regenerates soil and minds, learns about food, sustainability, nature and man.

Reincarnation proposes a method for upcycling Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) for circularity applications in built environments, that represent local identity and material stories. A collection of unique surfaces based on bricks and ceramic tiles that show traces of its past history with a contemporary language, recovering material, economic and architectural values.

A celebration of what already exists.

Reform Standard is a machine-learning-driven searching process that designs new structures generated from existing wasted materials. Using reinforcement learning, machine vision and automated searching process, the idea aims to promote a material-informed design circle and converts wastes into potential resources. It not only revitalises waste materials’ lifecycles, but also develops a more sustainable way of design that fundamentally changes the way we participate, evaluate and experience.

With Cinema Sole, a publicly accessible and individually screenable open-air cinema is to be created on the island of Lampedusa. In a process of close cooperation with residents, on-site initiatives and collectives, the concrete spatial needs of such a place will be elicited. A formal response to these requirements will – jointly – be articulated and implemented in the construction. The equipment available for use by all can be borrowed free of charge from a lending desk attached to the library.

How can a river be given its own political voice? The planet-centric project "SpreeBerlin" explores the relationship between Berlin and the Spree, considering the connections between the urban space, citizens, and the water. An oxygen-pumping measuring buoy is connected to a website, providing a direct interface to engage with the river and its potential. By combining art, technology, and science, the project offers a holistic solution to the various problems surrounding the river's ecosystem.

« Blood bomb- No pulp fiction » is a project aiming at replacing plastic bottles sold for fresh fruit juice machines by returnable glass bottles. The consumer wishing a fresh fruit juice, will first have to buy the glass bottle, at the time of his primary juice and will be invited to reuse it at the time of his next purchases. Blood sanguine invites consumers to change their behavior towards waste and introduces a new ritual, such as bulk, but this time for fresh fruit juices.

Imagine going to the seaside and have garden to take care of full of fruits and vegetables, herbs and flowers. Imagine you can get it without having to purchase your own house. Imagine that next to it is a city beach where you can meet the locals and a market where your fresh produce is sold. And imagine everything drinking in most unique atmosphere in Europe – an industrial bucolic garden paradise surrounded by fantastical industrial structures and unique topological terrain of Rijeka.

Val Pusteria is strongly determined and shaped by the mountains and rivers that cross its territory, they had left small usable areas for human beings, who by nature, have managed to take advantage over time, being this transformed from local consumption to a global market. But, how much more can this territory support this macro transformation? This work aims to approach these issues through agriculture, as the bridge and starting point of the relationship between humans and the territory.
