Somero city's park strategy aims to improve park functionality by bringing activities closer to more central areas and enhancing services in sparsely populated regions. The strategy allows residents to suggest activities for parks on the outskirts of the city center, and the projects can be fully funded and implemented by residents and communities. The city of Somero also provides financial support for these projects. This innovative approach allows residents to truly make the parks their own.

Keratop: an architectural biome, is a 3D-printed ceramic facade panel that responds to the current environmental situation and its need to intertwine architecture and nature. The fragment, made, questions architecture within ecology and it's meaning as a space of cultural and biodiverse reproduction. This prototype consists of a multi-part, complex 3D ceramic that acts as a plant support structure. An urban vertical biotope is formed - the attempt to architectonize the natural.

The biodiversity of our world is at risk due to climate change, pollution and a growing human population. Housing areas need to expand globally, but with the challenges of our times, we need to plan our cities in novel ways. Stormwater solutions will be a key element. The dragonfly, one of the oldest living species on our planet, can lead our way into the future and help us with solutions for city planning that are cost effective, aesthetic, eco-friendly and will preserve biodiversity.

This project try to give back forbidden, not used spaces for citizens and make that healthier spaces.

BATWATEX is a sustainable vegan leather alternative made from potato leaves fibre, technical hemp, recycled plastic and organic polymer. Technical hemp is mixed with potato leaves fibre to create the material’s base that is a non woven material and looks like a felt. We call this base BATWAFELT. Furthermore, the base is coloured with natural dyes and covered with a layer from organic polymer that gives the material its special texture, and also protects from water and dust.
