The project explores the possibilities of deculverting the Olona River along Milan, becoming the catalyzer of a green revolution for the open public spaces of the neighborhoods crossed, through the insertion of NBS, SUDS and placemaking strategies, assembling a sustainable and resilient green-blue urban corridor.
Like this, Milan becomes a green palimpsest, redeeming its ‘water spirit’ and achieving a holistic balance between the built fabric, its inhabitants and their natural capital.

The war in Ukraine has shown the importance of cultural heritage preservation and the need for a more cohesive EU. In an effort to strengthen our collective European identity, this project proposes to convert an abandoned correctional facility and its adjacent park into an archive of European cultural heritage. While the former prison will protect our digitised cultural heritage, the nearby park will provide space to perform and celebrate intangible cultural events.

Our story starts from a simple cherry flower which creates a connection between tradition and our daily living. Inspired by the simple flower petal we came to a distinctive bench design. Main initiative was to introduce the 3D-printing of concrete and innovative solution that would reflect the connection between the past and future. With this project we hope to awake wonderful memories of the older generation while initiating a desire to preserve and keep the tradition.

To be a host in a hosting country creates participatory practices to give asylum seekers the spatial agency to be host, as an empowerment tool while living in temporary structures far from home. The focus is on the creation of a policy to include, in the design process of these structures, the presence of collective spaces designed bottom-up through processes of tracing and drawing together with those living on the front line of precariousness.

Luce is a collection of lighting design projects realized with FDM 3D printing. The goal is to give people access to good design, to allow them to self-produce their own lamp using already existing bio-plastic (PLA) in order to make it sustainable.
By analyzing and printing the projects, people will be able to see and understand the design constraints. This gives an educational purpose to the project, because it shows how to use the strengths and constraints of additive manufacturing.

SYMBIOTIC BOOM! seeks resilience! Anthropocene’s state is critical, but not lost. Bassens represents a way to rebuild a society that is more sustainable, attractive and inclusive. At the nexus of biotic and abiotic infrastructures, the industrial port territory has the potential to transcend an ownership economy into an economy of usage, through bountiful land and logistic infrastructures. To rethink an urbanized Gaia, we need to reinstate collaborative intelligence in human and natural systems.

In 1974, a war has irrevocably separated Greeks & Turks in Cyprus. From then, the two communities have lived back to back, separated by an an impassable border. Omitting their shared history and roots, both communities developed on each side an irreconcilable antagonism ingrained for generations. Since 2006, a dialogue has been restored and more Cypriots are dreaming of a united island despite the Historical mutual distrust.

FUTR za JUTR reforms currently established processes of food donations in Slovenia in order to reduce edible food waste and fight hunger efficiently. A combination of an app and a smart food locker streamlines the communication between the stakeholders, makes pickup points more accessible for users and decreases the volunteers’ workload. By introducing a self-service pickup point model food donations do not depend solely on volunteers and can be expanded to other areas outside the cities.

Mezo is an exploratory research on social material practices with cooking waste oil utilisation at its centre. Recently this project turns leftover frying oil from fast food shops into accessible and affordable soap. Local material sourcing is combined with social activities to foster an inclusive circular neighbourhood network.
