Located in Kamikatsu—the first municipality in Japan to declare a Zero Waste policy—the Kamikatsu Zero Waste Center “WHY” is an environmental public complex dedicated to building a circular society. It fosters interaction and learning among producers and consumers, as well as between local residents and visitors. The facility includes the town’s only waste sorting station, where residents separate waste into 44 categories. It also features a reuse shop, office space, and an experiential hotel.

Vacant houses are not a problem. They are an unused resource. Re:public's TRANS methodology transforms how communities value what they already have — and proved it in Yunomoto, a hot spring town in Kagoshima, southern Japan. The renovation was deliberately incomplete: what the house lacks, the town provides. Guests walk to hot springs, eat with local pottery, explore farms. The town is the infrastructure. TRANS has since been applied to three further companies across different contexts.

Mãe Luiza Acessível is a free, participatory technical assistance initiative that transforms homes into spaces of autonomy and dignity for families with people with disabilities in vulnerable situations. Created in 2021, it develops accessibility projects and construction works in the Mãe Luiza neighborhood in Natal, Brazil. It has completed 40 projects and 31 construction works, impacting around 120 people, with residents’ participation and by strengthening the local economy.
