The presented project is the final master's thesis of two architecture students. Supported by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the City Council of Malgrat de Mar, it proposes the creation of a new nature school. Working in collaboration with the town's naturalist associations, the proposal involves the rehabilitation of the old salt mill to preserve the complex ecosystem hidden within its abandoned interior, intending to establish a benchmark Environmental Education center.

Jane Collectivité enables local authorities to take control of their solar energy production by redistributing surplus production to their communal buildings or citizens. In this way, the service enables local authorities to reduce their energy bills or simply pass on the benefits to their residents, free of charge.

Soledad (83 y/o) faces 67 steps to leave her house. With no elevator, many elderly neighbors share this challenge. The project proposes a community-based architecture solution addressing the accessibility and habitability needs, that private and individual interventions cannot meet within a specific dwelling block in Barcelona. Post-project, we continue to research through film and participation gatherings, aiming to ignite change and to highlight a situation that needs urgent action.

In a Belgian meadow cared for by volunteers for ten years, trees are now productive and many fruits, nuts, materials and herbs are harvested every year. Those are shared amongst the community to be processed individually at home. Based on a design by Anna Luz Pueyo, the group wishes to build a prototype for a workshop station fuelled by renewable energies, to collectively transform seasonal harvests into food, colours and materials and explore the full potential of the plants surrounding them.

How to live with earthquakes? The project focuses on the future of Falerone, a medieval Italian town damaged by a series of tragic seismic shakes in 2016. The strategy for resilient conservation and its gradual reinhabitation has been developed in close dialogue with the local community, authorities, architects and engineers. A new, experimental crafts school is proposed to allow local craftsmen to pass their skills to new generations and to stimulate local economy based on sustainable know-how.
