CO-HATY provides emergency temporary accommodation for internally displaced people in Western Ukraine. The Russian invasion of Ukraine forced around 12 million Ukrainians to leave their homes and 6.5 million people moved to the western part of the country. CO-HATY works with local governments and a large network of agencies to repair and retrofit large empty post-soviet municipal buildings into emergency accommodation. It has housed 1330 people in 7 buildings since March 2022.

A possible response to this fragile period, a network of cultural and social community welfare hubs, with 3 locations in Italy. The work carried out by the first "light hub," situated in Porta Palazzo, is taken as a model for designing a network of community concierge capable of reinventing the sense of community, sharing best practices, and experimenting with a new community welfare through participation and generative narratives. The Knowledge Portal is the tool that allows the relations.

The students of the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design of the “Vanvitelli” University,
in close synergy with the Municipality of Ercolano and other charitable associations, they collected testimonies and interviews from Ukrainian children and young people to design objects with them
for peace and for their well-being, to accompany them to a real inclusion in our community.

In one of the oldest stone quarrying lands and while all the theaters in the world were closed due to the pandemic, a natural stone theater took life from a former extraction quarry at the foothill of the Italian Alps, thanks to an innovative and challenging environmental redevelopment. And thus was born Tones Teatro Natura, a place surrounded by nature, dedicated to culture, arts and new generations to offering them brave new visions building a better and inclusive future for all living being.

The Nature and Education Center is located in a historic palace complex dating back to
the early 18th century. In 2013, the entire complex was taken over by the Karkonosze
National Park, which has since made efforts to adapt the historic buildings into a
modern nature education center and a new headquarters for the Park. The biggest
attractions of the Center are two multimedia educational expositions.

The aim is to pave the way for biogenic materials such as reed, wood and straw to be used in todays’ industrialized building industry. The objective has been twofold: to proof that biogenic construction can be fire-protected with clay and to test prefabrication and DfD of biogenic building components. The project strives to change the bias towards the application and performance of biogenic construction by researching into the technical and aesthetical potentials of biogenic architecture.

In a sense, we live in a paradox, never as connected, yet so many people feel displaced, disintegrated, and disconnected. I made this project to offer some sort of platform for others to share their stories of belonging and what is this "home" for them.

The iconic Mediterranean architecture school of Montpellier has evolved to meet changing needs. Embracing an ecological transition is now a priority, making the renovation project a symbol of responsible architecture and a teaching tool. The challenge lies in finding a balanced approach that respects the building's heritage while guiding it toward an eco-friendly transformation by using new processes and materials.

The Global Fashioning Assembly was initiated in October 2022 as a decolonial and decentral alternative to western-centric academic fashion conferences. The hosting is passed on from one coalition to the next to ensure self-determination, self-governance and self-representation. It is a fully collaboratively created event, founded on collective ideation, decision-making and implementation. Its first edition was hosted by 12 coalitions in 14 countries, across 6 continents, for a total of 40 hours.

The Italy of villages, to which tourism has accustomed us in recent years, led to the creation of an imaginary in which the villages are similar to postcards. Yet small towns – which faced unprecedented socio-economic decline and the earthquake – are much more. Castelli di Memorie is a winning festival format where classical music seals the union between art, nature, traditions and community.All this demonstrates how memory of places can become a tool for relaunch.
