The city’s new center of gravity is a converted department store that now also is a multifunc-tional lecture center. This saves resources (sustainability), brings together diverse population groups (inclusion) and revives the city center (quality of experience).

A small major city that has been shaped by its industry is reinventing itself. That is only possible be-cause the municipality and university cooperate tightly in order to shape a new future.

THE PROJECTS SOLVE FUNCTIONAL, URBAN, TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROBLEMS OF THE URBANIZED EUROPEAN STRUCTURES BY PROVIDING THEM WITH UNUSED

Anima Mundi is a journey to discover the secrets that lie hidden at sunset among the gnarled trunks and foliage of Palermo’s Botanical Garden. A magical and immersive experience created by Odd Agency to transport the public into an imaginary world populated by fantastic presences and in contact with the soul of the world.

The microcosm of the quartier «Italie» stands as a mirror of the global history of Dudelange, even of Luxembourg and Europe. Moving Lusitalia is a physical and digital project based on stories of everyday life, revealing the changes in rhythm, time and space over the decades. A two-year project leading to a multimedia exhibition, a series of conferences and a permanent audiovisual journey (web app) that let people explore the Quartier, discovering meaningful places and their stories.

Dark Sky® Alqueva is the first destination in Portugal dedicated to astrotourism. Born in 2007 and certified in 2011, it’s the first Starlight Tourism Destination in the world as well as the first cross-border destination, has its Official Observatory in Cumeada, a Best Tourism Village by UNWTO. Our mission is to protect the night sky as a resource for sustainable destination development and raise awareness of the importance of protecting this resource from the growing problem of light pollution

Budapest100 is an annual festival organized with residents and volunteers to celebrate the city’s built heritage. The project uses tangible and intangible heritage to fight social isolation and strengthen local communities. Through guided visits and exhibitions, visitors and residents share stories and knowledge. The festival is a great tool to keep the stories of residents alive and raise awareness about the value of the built environment and thus creating a sense of belonging.

This is an example of micro-intervention in public space with local community -the development of a small lot which does not belong to owners of local buildings. Previously, this space was in a very bad condition and was used as an illegal parking space. The housing community (inhabitants of the local residential buildings) decided to put this space in order. They invited me to this project in order to design the space, so that they could use it as common space for meetings, rest and picnicking.

Cancer survivors must face the aftermath. One of the associated symptoms is the alteration of the body image, and the consequent decrease in self-esteem, psychological well-being and quality of life, due to the physical changes that the patients experience as a result of the disease itself and the associated treatments. This generates an alteration in the perception of one's own body. The Hospital has set up an aesthetic office for patients.

How to change a territory in a sustainable way? How to give a new meaning to abandoned rural regions when those who inhabit have urban lifestyles? Over 2 years, between conversations, workshops and art creation, starting with the commission of a work of art in the landscape, the collective and the 44 inhabitants of a village in the interior of Portugal, carried out the transformation of an old trail as a manifesto of participatory processes bridging the gap between heritage and contemporaneity.
