Small Interventions is a pioneering project in Bosnia and Herzegovina where top-down approach in urban design is only used, resulting in the project's importance in terms of initiating a change in the local community. As a collaborative urban design method, it was developed on the basis of the expansive review of studies and practices dealing with the issue of public space design. It was tested in Banja Luka from 2019 to 2020 by the implementation of five pilot projects.

How to regain a sense of belonging to a river basin after two floods?
The participative process toward the Ombrone River Agreement tries to answer to this challenge through a set of regional and local activities (co-design workshops, walks, school laboratories) aimed to restore the feeling of belonging of the river community, to re-establish the urban-rural linkages and to enhance the capability of the river communities to shape their future at both the local and regional level.

We make the urban landscape greener and bring people closer to nature and each other. Garden to Connect reuses discarded plastic building products for sustainable, beautiful, and inclusive urban gardens. Our gardens brings 'Nature' to people living in the cities. We transform grey urban left-over spaces to revitalizing oasis. Social life and interactions is supported along with re-connecting to living nature.

Kevin Trappeniers' minimal art installation Observatory invites, as a public shelter, the local community, passers-by and visitors to reflect on the precarious relationship between humans and their environment. A geodesic dome in the public space questions a redesigned urban landscape.
How caring are we still with our attention in a landscape of artificial interventions? Observatory is a symbolic space in between city and nature seeking and offering tranquillity.

Development of a public space in the interior of an urban block, improving the living conditions in the Heyvaert district, by creating links between the neighboring streets and the canal. This partially covered space will allow the organization of creative, cultural, sports or festive activities. It will be reserved for pedestrians and cyclists in order to improve the local soft mobility network. The Quai de l'Industrie will be developed into a meeting area.

Set of interventions belonging to a territorial strategy whose goal is to activate the traditional irrigation area known as “Huerta de Murcia”, providing it with quality of use, design, and identity. From a contemporary point of view, new uses are encouraged to conserve and enjoy its nature and heritage, preventing its deterioration and highlighting its value. Current actions: design of Routes on GoogleMaps; design of signage; reconditioning of a route; Educational Workshops; design of a stand.

In 2018, the Métropole Rouen Normandie (local authority) has renewed the Saint-Sever street, witch is a commercial axis and the heart of the district Saint-Sever, part of the city center of Rouen, on the left bank of the Seine river. It is an old suburb, popular and formerly industrial.
The public spaces works allowed to enhance the mobility of people with disabilities and the place of nature in the district.
A particular attention has been paid on women place in public space.

The project ‘Sensing for Justice’ (in short, SensJus) explores how civic environmental monitoring can turn people into 'sentinels' for their environment. By performing civic monitoring, people re-gain a sense of responsibility and agency towards a nature, and can gather valuable evidence for environmental law enforcement. The project addresses an urgent need to understand emerging possibilities of the practice, starting from the demands and imaginaries of people affected by environmental issues.
