Our “Urban AquaFarma” project is about creating a green-garden mobile installation for the local food production which is based on an aquaponic system, but supported by rain and stormwater collection infrastructure. Alongside food production, the infrastructure plays an educational and social role, integrating the citizens, creating the workplace, but predominantly it propagates the environmentally-friendly behaviours for all age groups.

An inner city neighbourhood reveals new opportunities for re-inhabitation/enriched living environments in Irish towns and cities. A close reading of historic modes of living and existing city fabric reveals a range of untapped conditions and ways to expand existing living/working infrastructures, promoting long-term resilience of communities; a tool kit for ‘gardening’ our inherited plots and building stock in a process of pruning, grafting, and companion planting: a kind of urban horticulture.

At Finnish School of Kosovo, we believe that societal transformation begins with education and tackling environmental issues is one of the main factors. To help equip young people with the skills and competencies needed to turn the tide, we launched our #HoldTheRoll initiative, a month-long global campaign dedicated to activism and innovative ways in reducing waste from the smallest things, like toilet paper rolls.

“La mia Scuola è Differente! - Azione Scuola 2.0” and “EQUI 0-6” projects apply the methodology of participatory design as a tool to involve stakeholders of educational spaces in finding solutions to shared problems. Co-design implements design tools to activate interaction between the participants to make the educational offer more connected to the educating community through the redesign of shared spaces. The projects aim to create beautiful and sustainable educational spaces together!

EDU is a no-profit national project intended for educational institutions and universities all over Italy. EDU focuses on the themes developed by UNESCO in the fields of education, communication, natural sciences, human and social sciences, sustainable development and heritage. The main goal of EDU, recognized in the Mediterranean youth report 2021, are: the SDG goal n. 4 (quality education); have more impacts at local level in terms of social innovation.

A-Place is a platform that promotes the creation, debate, and experimentation of the sense of belonging and identity of individuals and groups with their social and physical environments. By connecting experiences and meanings of place through educational and creative activities in six European cities - Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Lisbon, Ljubljana, and Nicosia – the platform aims to enhance the sense of belonging and identity in individuals and groups.

The workshop is based on being part of a creative process, changing the perception of common spaces and experimenting through art.
Different classroom activities show the process behind the realization of a mural artwork, leading a group of vulnarable young people to the definition of their own expressive shape.
The aim is to make accessible the artistic process through participation and active experience: a methodology which draws from relational art to involve both students and teachers.

The Silver Bridge is a series of story-based activities and community games developed in the framework of the international project DANUrB+ (DANube Urban Brand + Building Regional and Local Resilience through the Valorization of Danube's Cultural Heritage). Its aim is to help children aged 8-10 years to discover the intangible, natural and built heritage of the Danube towns and to develop their language skills through stories about water fairies of the Danube Basin.

Today we are in a new cycle that forces us to rethink our lifestyles and our relationship with the environment. This is also an opportunity to rethink our education.
The proposal aims to install a Forest School designed by an architectural practice in an historical Park in Semur-en-Auxois, France and to support an alternative outdoor pedagogy that is beneficial to child development. Beyond the architectural project, it is an educational project that must be set up.

ExSA is a project of social cohesion around the reappropriation of a neglected heritage, a former prison in the historical neighborhood of Bergamo. Civic engagement and Urban Commons’ care are at the core of our initiative. Since 2015, ExSA offers itself as a platform to experiment with shared management, informal cultural production, and cohabitation with differences.
