The redefinition of the role of trafic at this former crossroad in Brussels enabled to transform a residual road space into a fully- fledged pedestrian urban square: the Guy Cudell square.

Many houses and flats have been completely destroyed in Ukraine and are cut out. However, there are definitely more partially damaged houses that are fit for living after minor repairs. We have prepared in Poland kits for the installation of temporary windows with a double transparent membrane. It is really enough that mothers with children have to run away to shelters or basements every day. We want to give them some light and warmth for those short moments when they can enjoy the sun.
Edouard Manet's painting "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe" served as inspiration for the new Dorothea Buck Park on the A7 tunnel in Hamburg-Schnelsen. Where once avalanches of cars pushed along in the open air, today - above the traffic noise and a four-lane road - a vegetative biodiversity thrives, residents meet for picnics, neighbourhood children play football in safety, allotment gardeners grow fruit and vegetables on a 3.0 ha green roof.
KOMM’ RUM invites everybody to come together, share stories and memories, and imagine possible new futures for the neighbourhood of the city district Johannstadt (Dresden, DE). During various building workshops residents of the quarter came together and co-created three mobile storytelling stations: a wheel of fortune turntable, airy inflatable cushions and a postcard stand. These stations are regularly in use and therefore facilitate new forms of temporary as well as long-term encounters.
Trudo Vertical Forest applies the Vertical Forest model to social housing for the first time. Designed to accommodate mainly low-income users, the tower in Eindhoven houses flats with low rents but high living quality. The complex vision of “living” coexistence between man and other species is thus amplified in the project into a dual challenge: the possibility of combining the great challenge of the environmental crisis with the urgent need for affordable housing in contemporary cities.
Reet Aus, PhD, is a sustainable fashion designer who uses industrial upcycling to reduce the fashion industry’s impact on the environment by circulating fabrics leftover from mass production back into production using the design. In mass production, an average of 25-40% of new fabrics are considered pre-consumer waste and end up in landfills. Reet Aus uses a science-based production model UPMADE® and for the first time, she produced a collection from pre-consumer leftover fabrics in Europe.

We are a point of intersection between humans and nature, the local and the global, cutting-edge practices and age-old traditions, a place where new meanings emerge via creative experiments.
"nice gallery" is about the development of three-dimensional, virtual exhibition projects. Including specially created spaces that represent our own gallery spaces on site. A serves in this respect as a digital alter ego. Nice gallery aims at the best possible combination of free access to art & culture for as many as possible, the protection of resources through virtualisation, the involvement of broad social groups into the projects and the aestheticisation of space, motion and interaction.
One temporary construction becoming Another.
This space was created with reused materials, coming from a temporary installation at a School in Barcelona. The wood screens and light tubes are rearranged in the Post-Compulsory Education Office. Since the modules could be directly reused, construction waste has been reduced and contributes to a sustainable outcome. From start to finish, only three months were planned. This lead to co-managing the design and the construction simultaneously.
The project is a public sports building whose program focuses on an indoor pool oriented towards the sea views, taking into account visual relationships, both inside the building and outside. It is a completely accessible building, whose design responds to the needs of all users, and allowing free access to its spaces with facilities for everyone, transferring architectural concepts to sensory experiences, both tactile, and sound, to bring the architectural experience to the neediest.
