The Ruderal project presents easy-to-assemble modular system for creating variable temporary spaces for education and relaxation for people in need. The aim is to support communities of people affected by war, natural disaster or other adversity. The atypical morphology and diverse color solutions of the modules made of recycled materials aim to bring playfulness and aesthetics to otherwise visually daunting environments. The target communities are involved in the co-creation of the furniture.

CCI LE MANS SARTHE’s missions are to shape the future, support people and accelerate performance. It is in this capacity that since 2019 it has engaged in a reflection on its activities but also on its heritage and its role in preserving the environment. In 2021, it validated its Master Plan to fulfil its missions. + training, - GHG, - fossil fuels, + biodiversity are the major components of his project.

Fair Sculpture encourages and helps empower youth, with a focus on youths who are less exposed to different kinds of art and culture. Fair Sculpture consists of
two branches, in which participation is free for participants. One branch is a weekly afternoon school for kids and youngsters in the facilities of the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki where they work with artists. The second is a residency branch, where artists are invited to hold an art residency in a school in rural areas of Finland.

BEPI: innovative, accessible and sustainable boat to slowly discover Venice and its lagoon from the water, to give equal access to both "able and disabled" persons, for citizens, scholars and visitors. In the heart of the Apennines, the first immersive, applied and professional school specialised on inner mountain areas. Participants develop the necessary skills to accompany communities and administrations towards a real ecological transition, and to seize the political, cultural and socio-economic opportunities involved in inner areas neopopulation. The objective of NEO is to channel expertise into inner areas, so that they become decentralised hubs in which to design an alternative future.

“I didn’t know I was interested in architecture” is an impression often heard from visitors of Tools for Better Living. The festival, organised by the Outsider Magazine, is not just another forum for architects and related professionals. It has evolved into a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary program, and includes events with speakers from various fields, international competitions and practical workshops, all aimed at finding creative and sustainable solutions for issues of contemporary living.

MOVING GROUND as initiated by The Duncan Dance Research Center, is a platform that connects dance, education, community engagement and environmental action embodying the practice of permaculture principles: care for the earth, care for the people and awareness of limits to growth. The project addresses a densely built environment and a neglected open space in Athens, within a cultural heritage site associated with the birth of modern dance.

Pollution and littering have garnered much attention in recent years due to their negative effect on animal habitats, the overall environment, and the climate. The EcoHunt combines education and gamification to tackle the pollution problem by mobile app for de-littering via a Treasure hunt-style game. The app varied missions and incentives drive its users to clean their surrounding environment, by daily list of commonly found litter is generated.
