A cooperative of young friends who have worked with enthusiasm for recovering and subsequently opening the Catacombs of San Gennaro, afterwards started a process to recover their local heritage and to bringing about the tangible revitalisation of the Sanità, a Naples' neighbourhood that was once prey to the Camorra, creating somewhere for arts and culture to flourish.
The culture of care and the care for culture: following this guideline this place has become a living and generative territory.

Bamboopod® is the first and only system combining the natural beauty of bamboo with the cutting-edge technology of tensile architecture, fully prefabricated and easily buildable by only 2 people. Suitable both for temporary installations and permanent uses, it is calculated to stand snow loads and wind speeds over 120 km/h. It provides the unique experience of being instantly transported to a peaceful state of mind, bringing the feeling of impressive order due to the natural beauty of bamboo.

DoppelPlus benefits you and the climate at the same time: it enables tenants in Tyrol to contribute to the protection of the climate while improving their financial situation and quality of life at the same time. Volunteers are trained to become energy and climate coaches who support households in Tyrol by giving individually tailoredand easily applicable advice to optimize living, heating, electricity, mobility, procurement and nutrition.

The project PHIM – Heritage and History of the Marble Industry, is dedicated to the promotion of the area, called the Marble Zone in Portugal, located in the Alentejo region. It investigates the heritage value of the marble as an endogenous resource, and its usage in the architecture, in the sculpture and in urban environment. Latvian architecture office NRJA (No Rules Just Architecture) has completed the first phase of the Riga Circus reconstruction. NRJA follows the principle of "adding by removing" - by revealing hidden historical layers, a sense of newness is created, while simultaneously embodying the 135 years of existence of the Riga Circus building. The reconstructed arena features a unique CLT (cross-laminated timber) panel dome that houses the historical construction and a new, contemporary culture program.

OPS-PM is an alliance of cross-border cultural and scientific organizations for the exchange of knowledge, sound recording, creation and promotion of European sound heritage and identity. In its first edition it focused on the Pyrenees-Mediterranean territories. Thanks to the empathic power of sound, the Observatory connects citizens with their immediate natural environment and fosters artistic and scientific exchange between EU communities.

Sava Activities is an adaptable waterfront public park project aiming to reintroduce the riverbanks of Zagreb’s Sava River to the daily life of the citizens. Exploring resilient and ecological solutions through participatory co-design processes, the project prioritized natural preservation; developed socio-cultural density without being necessarily urban; and envisioned providing a mutually harmonized common habitat balancing human use and natural processes.

Villazero is the world's first carbon dioxide-neutral villa, located in the Dalarna region of Sweden. There were two major focus areas in the project. One was to test new innovative materials and solutions to build more sustainably. The other was to draw attention to the fact that the construction industry is the least equal industry in Sweden. In order to show role models so that more women dare to apply for construction, the project chose an all-female construction team for Villazero.

Upcycle Studio Hurra PangPang (Sweden) and talent platform New Order of Fashion (the Netherlands) invited curious visitors of Dutch Design Week to The GREEN WASH. Over 23.000 visitors were blown away by the design potential of discarded garments. From the sourcing of the material to the design to the tailoring and making of the piece itself; forgotten materials were turned into new, yummy, long lasting and much valued fashion pieces before the visitor’s very own eyes.

Fundesplai is intended to offer social inclusion and environmental conservation, all with a clear desire for sustainability. Its tremendous social work focuses on families in situations of marginalisation, and particularly the children of these families, offering them the chance to stay in holiday centres in natural settings all over Catalonia. It also builds hostels and nature education centres and provides soup kitchens and catering for schools.
