NEB Prizes 2023: All Applications

An Open School: the core of Stefano Boeri Architetti’s vision lies in the idea that the school of the future can become an epicentre in the urban life of neighbourhoods, a place open to everyone, of all ages, every day of the year. This is the concept that has guided the realisation of the 3 new schools designed in Tirana following an international competition promoted by the Municipality of the Albanian capital, for the realisation of the 20 new schools envisaged in the Tirana 2030 Masterplan.

“Cota 1.20” is an exhibition developed with children from OSMOPE School, that strengthened their identity and sense of belonging towards the city, achieving a more sustainable, meaningful and respectful connection with the planet.
Working from the eye level of 1.20m, there are drawings, photos, videos, sounds, words, modular and paper constructions.
After an extensive field research and co-creating with the designer, the project was constructed and presented at MNAC Lisbon and MHNC-UPorto.

A series of activities & events born from the initiative of passionate individuals, which, by involving communities, companies & universities, helps to raise public awareness about the properties, uses and valorisation of sheep wool. Public webinars, workshops & conference organised in Estonia; a novel online Wool Exchange Platform set up for mediating contacts between wool producers & consumers; an educational material in preparation aiming to raise the wool awareness of craftsmen & designers.

Introductory summer course to the science of biomimicry and the principles of bio-inspired design to innovate in creative processes and design new realities.
The BIODESIGN summer course is an immersive learning program surrounded by Nature, in the Redes Natural Park, in Asturias.
Through different training capsules we will understand what biomimicry is, what its applications are and its work methodology.

"The Path is Yours" is a three-part initiative of the Off the Beaten Path Foundation in Bulgaria, which draws inspiration from the architecture, diverse community, and natural beauty of Southwestern Bulgaria and includes the renovation and upkeep of the community center "Svetlina" in the village of Kovachevitsa as well as the Educational and Community projects "Singing Hearts" for a diverse group of local children and "Plant a Tree," an initiative for the restoration of deforested areas.

Performing Arts - Performing Future is a first step project by the German Federal Association for the Independent Performing Arts (BFDK) in cooperation with the Perform 4 Future Network. The project offers advice about how to implement ecological sustainability measures in the sector of the independent performing arts and training to empower artists, curators and culture creators to actively take a stake in the ecological transformation - here within the performing arts sector.

The aim of applying sensory integration therapy is to raise awareness of the comprehensive problem of its dysfunction. Application of therapy for the purpose of mastering the best possible life functioning. Organization of workshops for providing adequate assistance to people with sensory impairments.

The general purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of ICT, and more specifically Interactive Videoconferencing, in encouraging the creativity of Primary School students, while utilizing Land Art. Therefore, the main exploratory question to be tested in the present study is: In what ways do ICTs influence the encouragement of creativity?How do Land Art relate to ICT? What are the opinions of the participating teachers regarding the utilization of Land Art?

A project Bear of Meeting is promoting personal growth as a way to better face and navigate new challenges in our city and sustain living in unity and peace. The project is oriented on empowering educating and integrating under-resourced communities and citizens of Kočevje to be acceptive of each other and build meaningful relationships.

A learning-by-doing outdoor workshop will be organised for children, youngsters & other stakeholders in a farmers city, Lushnje.
Based on our ancestors’ model as committed farmers, the initiative will try to educate the younger generation as well-informed future farmers, focusing on seafer food and cleaner enviroment.
For this reason, our park will be transformed into a farm where children will connect with nature by planting flowers/vegetables in recycled pots and plantcare for months.
