Pines is a British Forest School based on the Scandinavian all weather school model and pioneered by British OCN trained Forest School practitioners. Our ethos is bred from the belief that risk taking and independent led learning are necessary to successfully support the development of young people. Our core principle places community at the centre of everything we do. We focus on the relationship between our learners and the natural world whilst promoting holistic learning.

Rocky islands dominating in the landscape.

What kind of associations has Rymättylä for Finnish people?
Clearly, early potatoes, also called ”new potatoes”. Their taste is the best together with herring of Rymättylä!

Rymättylä new potatoes are awaited agricultural produce and, surely, heralds of summer.

About 70 % of all the harvested Finnish ”new” potatoes come from the islands of Rymättylä.

ReGeneration in Reșița is a project dedicated to accomplishing societal cohesion through participatory urbanism and workshops dedicated to climate mitigation best practices. The area proposed for intervention is known for its Roma community, in serious risk of poverty and who faces the issue of school abandonment. To change the destiny of the children residing there and making education more appealing, the local education unit's square will be transformed and regenerated for the whole community

Aedicula is a digital participatory magazine covering cultural topics of tradition and current affairs.
It features gamification and augmented reality elements that encourage students to visit local GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archivers, Museums) cultural venues, stimulating them to rediscover their sense of belonging.

As natural stone waste grows, kids’ illiteracy increases. Every year, tones of natural stone rarities, mainly from the luxurious market industries, estimated in more than one fifth,are lost in the chain of the Circular Economy. By another hand, at our schools, kids are losing the sensitive contact with the ground. We believe teaching must be innovative, dynamic, and creative. So, our goal it’s make these rarities to be touched and kept alive, in the Circular Economy,in unique geo-didatic panels

Lifestyle Medicine for Everyone (LM4everyone): Recover and Inspire
The initiative to create a Lifestyle Medicine program (Programme) has been in line with education tradition at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), based on research of scientifically based evidence about healing power of nature and its resources, for prevention of diseases and regaining health.

Make cool your school is an activity in which high school students are involved in an architectural project of their own educational centres, accompanied by architecture students and professors from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT). In five years, more than 800 students and 50 centres have designed spaces for the topics: ‘better together’, ‘working together’, ‘think in/is change’, ‘new spaces 4 new learning’ and ‘old spaces/new normality’.

Every individual is valuable and contributes. Sharing reduces sadness and increases joy. Our program includes young people with all their individualities and talents. We believe that only through education and solidarity can we create a better society and a sustainable future.
