NEB Prizes 2023: All Applications

In project "Deep civilization and sustainability as a way of living" we gave space for meaningful experiences to our workers to share good with the students. We got education in Nature School in a forest. In value workshops we studied ecososial education. There is only one planet Earth and wanting something is different than what we need. We need to connect! In theatrical working we shared our thoughts about our values and realized that together we can find a way to live following these values.

Beehave, in partnership with Jilava Penitentiary and Hutulca Traditional Association, will be transforming unused green spaces into biologically diverse, sustainable, productive landscapes. There is a real need for creating quality green spaces for the 1000 detainees' recreation and outdoor visiting space at Jilava Penitentiary in Ilfov county, Romania. These gardens meet 9 of the sustainable development goals and will include many native plant species and will double as habitat restoration.

In order to promote, disseminate and acquaint the public with natural materials and traditional building techniques and trades, along with the architectural and planning practices that allow these to be preserved and continued, in 2021 and 2022 a series of activities - which included exhibitions, workshops, courses, congresses and publications - were organized under the title “Timeless Architecture”.

The Ministry of the Future is a bottom-up social design project. This brandnew nationwide movement unites an emerging group of positive citizens who, each in their own environment and sphere of influence, put the future on the agenda, beyond polarization and haste. They do so based on the shared conviction that the focus in politics, culture, economy and society must be shifted towards long-termism, in order to make decisions that benefit the people and planet of tomorrow.

With creativity and Design Thinking (DT), we support community life, belonging, creativity and initiative of people in the "Structurally Affected Karlovy Vary Region".
We designed and successfully tested our own EDIPT methodology, which teaches children, students, officials and entrepreneurs DT in a fun, playful, effective and practical way.
We are building the Exchange center, where DT students and local residents will adopt and design the public space of the Karlovy Vary - Tuhnice.

Atlantis is an Ocean Literacy Program led by Ocean and Flow that invites students to dive into an aquatic experience and personal journey, aiming to awaken and root environmental responsibility and promote ocean protection at local level. Programa Atlantis combines dreaming, creativity, ocean knowledge and active engagement within local communities to create a replicable and scalable network of active citizens and ocean guardians.

Have you ever been inside a beehive? or seen the underwater roots of tropical plants?. The initiative foresees the creation of an open doors digital museum in Terra Franca a confisted land to the Mafia, involving technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality. The goal is to educate the ‘visitors’ using non-formal methodologies on sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation while providing an immersive experience.

ELSE-FUTURA HUB is a creative, artistic, operational network and think-tank that detect social, cultural, ethical and environmental shifts, analyse future attitudes, lifestyles, economy trends and how they are likely to affect future consumer behaviour. We perform research and advocacy concerning transition to circular economy and bio-economy, discussing environmental issues, responsible consumption, eco-friendly Materials, deliver strategic foresight through a number of products and services.

Terr-estre is a inclusive project in France dedicated primarly to circular economy and partnerships for sustainability..
We act through 3 pilars:
- A fabrication workshop (La Fabrique), to support makers in circular economy transition.
- A partnerships space (Le Conseil), to foster collaboration through design methods and partnership brokering practical technics.
- A place for citizen and schools (La Place), to explore circular economy, resilience, democracy though debate and workshops.

In deprived areas, such as rural or rromani communities, youngsters from the Oradea city under the guidance of members of Pro Time-R Association in partnership with representatives of some companies from industrial parks and salubrity companies ,spread the concept of Nature4Life by active workshops and common campaigns of nature cleaning from the above mentined communities.
