Summary
Star Status design represents innovative research, development and education model for students and professionals, integrate sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics and based on interdisciplinary design integration of science, arts and society. We illustrate the impact of the science and arts for sustainable education and cultural performance that brings constellation of communities together, represented examples of transformational activities centered around sciences, arts and culture that help build design cohesion and develop a shared sense of ownership of the new post post-modern lifestyle, fusion of open, private, virtual and philosophical space and time. Star Status design was created as freedom-based compatibility design platform with goal to take part in the New European Bauhaus initiative when Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, declared this Idea in 2020. Follows up freedom-based compatible cooperation of Basic Stars, created, involved and transferred results and benefits of past activities, developed projects during the pandemic present and in this challenge submit potential to prepare the way to the future. We formed own Star Status interdisciplinary creations, own Star Status design innovative research, development and education model for students and professionals, integrate sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics and based on interdisciplinary design integration of science, arts and society. Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
We must prepare the art of education for next generation of avant-garde in post-postmodern society, where everyone has an opinion, so it is difficult for as to define the right values. So, we must in design process go deeper and working with design intellect of product, movement, space and time to better draw inspiration for next generation of designs and designers, new art of interdisciplinary experience – open sphere thinking, synergic strategy and independent artistic research. Important in design process is “Action Centric independent artistic research & development fusion”. This based on communication, presentation and self-reflection of ideas through design sketching and visual design language, as analogue also digital, with influence of fine arts. Implementation and expand with community connection are providing for example as sketch battle, dizajnerskakresba.sk project and many international workshops and presentations.

“Star Status” design creations - new interdisciplinary design integration of science, art and society Inclusive projects collection explains how is using “Star Status” design philosophy also in Design Studio Balaz at the Institute of Design, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava allows focus on difficult defined topics for new lifestyle of post-postmodern epoch. Studio based on independent intellectual research and development concept with “Star Status Philosophy”, “Open Sphere Strategy” and “Authentic Design Essence” parts of education method. New important part of roll of designers, special for post-postmodern and post-pandemic lifestyle, is in sustainability, circularity, aesthetics or inclusion. In this direction, for designer, as a star in star status constellation, is important create connections, constellations and new composition with other stars in society. New context structure and proportions of stars constellation identify new interests of society. Essence of star status constellation is connectivity. “Star Status” design activities are open to new connections with another society stars and in this online time represent this with “Informal Connective Virtual Conferences Series”.
Results in relation to category
We have achieved together very special “Star Status” design constellation – “Freedom-based Stars Compatibility” – colleagues and teacher-student compatibility with rising star potential. We have composed with “Star Status” design platform interdisciplinary compatibility to education Design Studio Balaz, creative platform kreativita.online and Slovak Union of Visual Arts. We have verified “Star Status” design - interdisciplinary education model for Studio Balaz at Faculty of Architecture and Design and implemented “Action Centric independent artistic research & development fusion” as interdisciplinary education model represented with design sketching workshops and battles, “Synergic research & development design Strategy” as interdisciplinary education model with other university faculties and virtual connectivity in education process during pandemic not only for studio, also as “Informal Connective Virtual Conferences Series” - interdisciplinary education model for the public.
How Citizens benefit
The projects in Studio Balaz, whether collaborative or not, we went through topics such as authentic design, inspiring design, through iconic, internationally inspired or authentically motivating design, terra-morphing and kinesthetics design. These topics are about defining the interest of the new company, the so-called "Interest solving", leading to a new lifestyle, in contrast to the stagnant view of postmodern society today. The philosophical conception of the topics is influenced by the students themselves, who choose studio and their worldview changes in this direction with each year. This topic allows as to make full use of and develop the natural way of designing. We use Action Centric technologies and independent artistic research, accelerating the composition of elements of the proposed design. However, the most important thing is for the philosophy, method, strategy or design methodology, which should not limit, so in the studio we develop our own "Open Sphere" strategy based on the "Star Status" philosophy. “Action Centric Design” and “Design and Society Contexts” from “Star Status international informal science and art conferences series” in cooperation with the Umelka gallery and support of Slovak Union of Visual Arts, were professional online conferences dedicated to design in the complex context of all spheres of life are a new art of interdisciplinary communication. In this case, the theme of the conferences, which vas understood by each presenting expert independently, from the point of view, defined by the field in which he works, as well as through their creative, scientific or education activities and created a very inspiring and innovative composition of information and ideas on design, art and technology.
Innovative character
Basic characteristic innovations are “Freedom-based Compatibility” between designers and “Authentic Design Essence” in design process subjected to experimentation, harmonization of composition and construction in an effort to achieve balance and a new atmosphere. The result will be a new design for a new lifestyle and an emerging target group. The compatibility of the creators is important in the process, when in this process of creating a design its character and shape cannot be obvious in advance. “Authentic Design Essence” is the result of an alternative form of design and support for the intellectual evaluation of design in the post-pandemic era.
