Key objectives for sustainability
PLATTE.Berlin - Objectives in terms of sustainability
Our objectives are based on three analysis pillars for PLATTE.Berlin as Germany's first multidisciplinary concretion space for art, music, lifestyle and fashion:
- ) Demands of the creative industry
- PLATTE.Berlin as a space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge with a focus on sustainability is a causal reaction on the demand in creative industry. Within the last two years creative industry struggled a lot and berlin lost caused by COVID 19 circumstances a lot of spaces which at least supported as a cowering space one field of creative industry. Berlin and the whole creative industry needs a new space in Berlin as the heart of creativity, sustainability and innovations.
PLATTE.Berlin will close the gap and create a unique space for co-creations and sharing knowlegdes for social sustainability.

The Development and creation of the main public area in use for events, retail, workshops etc. uses cradle to cradle methods supported by international successful brand building and architecture agency Dan Pearlman.
- We endorse fair and sustainable sourcing and production solution by creating fairs, thinktanks and coachings for local Designer and Brands.
- Economic Viability
- PLATTE.Berlin as a huge project and challenge for the future, it needs a sustainable and stable financial base. Gouvernement grants, sales/ retail revenues and sponsor shipments will be the financial fundament of PLATTE.Berlin. Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
PLATTE.Berlin - Objectives in terms of aesthetics and quality
Our mission is to create a unique physical and digital place to foster the exchange of visions and ideas in the sustainable and innovative creative industry of tomorrow by reusing and reinventing a typical Berlin building - the PLATTE. The PLATTE.Berlin project is located in an authentic and characteristical "platte building". The platte as an architectural main element of Berlins and Germanys history and landscape was invented to create a community in a building which is diverse and inclusive itself.
We support Berlin creativity under one roof: central and visible with various interdisciplinary partners and initiatives. We are a catalyst, think tank and network for independent Berlin fashion. We promote and strengthen professionalization, digitization and profitability in a sustainable and innovative way.
The PLATTE.Berlin team persists of a supportive team from the district exchanges Mitte/ Pankow and selected experts from fashion industry which started PLATTE.Berlin project since March 2021.
The team is as creative as Berlin is. Its structure is based on the idea to work as an independent collective with a lot of facilities, so that we can cover and handle all fields of fashion industry.

Key objectives for inclusion
PLATTE.Berlin - Objectives in terms of inclusion
Currently the centrally located building is turning into a social inner city. Our concept of PLATTE.Berlin is not just to reinvent a space to meet, share and imagine - it is helping to create a better environment for its citizens, its neighbourhood and all human beings in general. PLATTE.Berlin is driven by the Bauhaus philosophy of co-creation and creates synergies between creative minds and industry leaders. We create a space which changes habits through co-creation and brings people with visions and ambitions together to create the future in sustainability. PLATTE.Berlin encourages and teams up with strong female partners, minority leaders and supporters from the professional industry, district exchanges und opinion leaders in politics.
We propose a large and modular program consisting of exhibitions, workshops, panel talks, pop-up events and professional coachings in one-to-one-meetings through our pool of experts.
These events and services target not only the neighbourhood through B2C workshops, performances, exhibitions and events but also the creative professionals environment in B2B collaborations. We aim to support and professionalize everyone. By everyone we mean being an open house: we include minorities and offer regular events to give space and stage to co-created events as for example:
— Female Future Leaders in CoCreation of She's Mercedes and selected women in leading positions in creative industry
— En Vogue in CoCreation of Berlins LGBTIQ voguing scene a festival for fashion and inclusion
Further planned are collaborations with NGOs as Sozialhelden (inclusion of people with disabilities) and tbd* (inclusion of POC).
These events take place on a regular basis in order to build a strong inclusive and progressive community.
