Contemporary design in a timeless edition dressed in innovative plant materials like leather from pineapple leaves, grapes or cactus - you will find it all in our collections. All our collections are handmade in Poland according to the principles of sustainable production. Our parents, who are experienced shoe makers, are the heart of our brand. We also support local craftsmen from whom we source our components. We set a new good trend - vegan fashion.

Summary
BOHEMA Clothing. Plant avantgarde dressed in awareness. Our brand was founded to create fashion which changes the world. We create sustainable fashion with care about our planet and animals. When we creating our collections, we constantly observe what is happening in the world. What inspires us and what takes over or even scares us. Because, in our opinion, fashion has always reflected social moods. From the beginning, we present our own definition of streetwear dressed in innovative plant materials. We were the first in the world to create shoes made of cactus leather, and the first in Poland to create shoes made of vegetable leather such as Pinatex pineapple leather, apple leather or Vegea grape leather. Materials, which we use are very helpful for our environment. Cactus leather is highly sustainable. Cactus is a natural carbon sink and has a high CO2 scavenging capacity - from 14 acres of farming it absorbs 8,100 tonnes of CO2 / year, while only 15.30 tonnes of CO2 are produced per year. Pineapple leaves leather Pinatex is sustainably sourced, made from natural waste. The production is characterized by low water consumption and low production waste, and does not contain harmful chemicals or animal products. From every square meter of Pinatex is saved 8 kg of CO2 from being emitted to the atmospfere, before leaves were burned. Our projects are contemporary, but timeless design, innovative materials that are friendly to the planet and animals, as well as exquisite handmade craftsmanship. All our collections are handmade in Poland according to the principles of sustainable production. Passion for craftsmanship is passed on in our family from generation to generation. All our collections are handcrafted by our parents and friendly local family manufacturers. As the brand develops, we expand our production to other local plants, so that we can always rely on the experience and craftsmanship of local craftsmen. We set a new good trend - vegan and sustainable fashion.
Key objectives for sustainability
Care for animals and the environment have been the most important values of our brand from the very beginning. We make sure that the fashion we create expresses them. We want to leave the smallest possible footprint on the environment, so each of our actions - from the idea to the moment of delivering the product to the customer - is very well thought out. All our collections are handmade in Poland according to the principles of sustainable production. We support local craftsmen from whom we source our components. The innovative plant materials we use are an excellent alternative to animal skin. Cactus leather is highly sustainable, plant based and meets the most stringent quality and environmental standards. Grape leather Vegea has a high content of vegetable / recycled materials such as vegetable oils and natural fibers from the agricultural industry. The production process does not use any toxic solvents, heavy metals and substances hazardous to humans and the environment. Pineapple leaves leather Pinatex is sustainably sourced, made from natural waste. The production is characterized by low water consumption and low production waste, and does not contain harmful chemicals or animal products. Our packaging is made of recyclable materials. We know that there is still a lot to be done, so every day we think about the next steps that will allow us to create the most responsible fashion. Sustainable production is very important to us and we want to be in control of every stage of it. That is why: prototypes are made in one size only, we create a minimum stock level, and a large part of the production takes place after the order is placed, we introduced the "pre-order" sales model. All this to avoid unnecessary overproduction.

1998 Passion passed down from generation to generation
In a small family workshop, Sebastian watches his father Edward, an experienced shoemaker, and his mother Halina, an experienced seamstress, making beautiful and high-quality shoes by hand, pair by pair. This is how his passion for craftsmanship is born
2013 Polish fashion in the cruelty free edition
15 years later, Sebastian establishes the first vegan streetwear brand in Poland, in which he focuses on contemporary but timeless design, craftsmanship and vegan materials.
2017 The next step - material made of pineapple leaves
Sebastian and his partner Wiola decide to go and start testing an innovative plant material made of Pinatex pineapple leaves.
2018 - The first Polish shoes made of pineapple leather
Bohema introduces the first pineapple leather shoes in Poland.
2019 - World's first cactus leather shoes
BOHEMA is the first brand in the world to create shoes made of a new plant material from the Desserto cactus

Results in relation to category
We create a new fashion category in Poland and co-create a new fashion category in the world - vegan and sustainable fashion. Our projects are appreciated by customers all over the world. In addition to creating fashion, we create a new approach to it and show that fashion is an expression of values that are so important today: care for the welfare of the planet and animals while maintaining the highest quality and design of the offered products. We do everything to educate society and show them the best alternatives that can really change the world. We prove that you do not have to give up good style or trends, but just keep a conscious approach in them and set new trends with us.

How Citizens benefit
The clothing industry is one of the most polluting industries. From the creation of fibers, to the production of materials, to the systematic landing of huge amounts of clothing in landfills, the process consumes an exorbitant amount of waste. Not to mention the natural resources that are needed to make garments. Fortunately, awareness of the damage our daily consumer choices cause continues to grow and the popularity of environmentally friendly products is growing. According to the global search engine Lyst, the frequency of searches for terms such as "organic cotton" and "vegan leather" increased by 47 percent, and a study by Nielsen found that 73 percent. young consumers, included in the generation of the so-called Millennials are willing to pay more for brand products that have sustainability along the way. Sustainable fashion has, in fact, become a trend for our time. In 2020, over 3 million Poles are vegetarians or vegans. Every third compatriot is open to trying vegetable meat substitutes, and over 68 percent. Poles declare that when eating out, they choose meatless dishes. More than half of the population declares their willingness to limit meat consumption in the next few quarters. It is similar with people opening up to vegan and organic products in fashion. We wanted to create a brand that would give an alternative to the fashion industry. We create vegan and sustainable fashion for the sake of our environment and animals. We are the answer to the fashion of the future. We give people the opportunity to choose stylish, fashionable and durable products that allow them to care for the future of our planet, and at the same time we support traditional Polish art, which is craftsmanship, at the same time giving work to people who know their profession best and want to transfer their knowledge to new ones. generations - this is our mission

We are a pioneer in this field and we are constantly developing by searching for new materials and ways to make the fashion we offer responsible. We also work on new technologies, such as printing soles in 3D technology from waste. We do everything to show what the fashions of the future should look like.
