A writing desk is designed to suit the needs of today’s modern way of living, where mobility is both a luxury and a necessity.
Having special slots in the surface, it also works as a package, which provides both comfortable and compact transportation or storage. When not in use, the legs are inserted into the slots in the inner desk surface. This leads to having a single element, only 6 cm thick.

Summary
Due to various life circumstances people nowadays tend to move and change their housing situation frequently. As a result, it is often more convenient to purchase temporary disposable furniture and household items and simply throw them away when relocating than it is to invest in quality goods and have to take care of moving bulky belongings to a new home.
A writing desk is designed to suit the needs of today’s modern way of living, where mobility is both a luxury and a necessity. With a strong focus on aesthetic qualities, the writing desk offers a practical and durable solution to any home or workplace.
Having special slots in the surface, it also works as a package, which provides both comfortable and compact transportation or storage. When not in use, the legs are inserted into the slots in the inner desk surface. This leads to having a single element, only 6 cm thick, that can fit in most 5-seater cars.
Key objectives for sustainability
As the desk can be easily assembled, stored and transported it offers a great alternative to disposable "fast furniture" choices and can 'travel' with the owner from home to home for years. The current design is made of plywood board and steel profile - both sturdy and long-lasting materials. Because the desk surface and legs can be taken apart, it makes it easy to restore a worn surface or repaint the legs in another colour to fit a new interior.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
While the design of the desk addresses the problem of "fast furniture" by providing a compact solution for transporting and storing, the aesthetic expression remains equally important. Flat-pack furniture is often perceived as cheap and temporary, therefore a lot of attention was paid to finding the right proportions with the main focus on aesthetically pleasing intersection of wood and steel parts.
Key objectives for inclusion
The writing desk is an affordable piece of furniture that does not compromise the aesthetics or quality and will last for years. The construction of the desk ensures that different parts of the furniture may be easily renewed or repaired. The design allows it to be "hacked" too - the owner may affordably get the legs repainted in a different colour to fit the new interior space.
Innovative character
With a strong focus on aesthetic qualities, the writing desk is a long-lasting functional piece of furniture inviting to change the perception of value on flat-pack solutions and, as a result, reduce the waste of fast furniture.
