One little bee hovering around; she didn’t have fun and there was none.

Summary
Our project includes building raised garden beds for outdoor classroom made from ecological materials. Honey – producing plants will be grown and taken care of by our catering students (cooks), pharmacists along with students attending grammar school who will be given the opportunity to study and learn in the immediate reality. Furthermore, kindergarten kids and elementary school students will also have the opportunity to study and recreate this way since they are located nearby.
Key objectives for sustainability
Beekeepers, who are members of association called ˝Medeni˝ from Pregrada will hold workshops about bees, honey – producing plants and independent beekeeping. This classroom will be made of environmentally friendly materials, such as wooden pallets, gravel and ecological lighting which will contribute to biodiversity and to the reduce od CO2 emission.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
With this outdoor classroom, our school grounds will become more beautiful and enjoyable to be in. Our plan is to plant different trees and aromatic and medicinal herbs. We will be using eco-friendly materials as well as ecological lightening. It will be a great place for learning, as well as for spending time before and after lessons.
Key objectives for inclusion
Our outdoor classroom will be accessible to all the students and employees of our high-school, as well as primary school students and nursery kids nearby. The classroom will also be used for lectures and workshops by beekeeper association and others in our local community.
Innovative character
All these are innovative ways of teaching following our school's slogan ˝We learn by head, heart and our hands ˝. In addition, the process of building, equipping and the usage of this classroom will provide students' education and make students conscious of the importance of the positive environmental impact. It is important to stress the fact that our school has a diamond status as an ˝Eco school˝ and its ecological activities are something it is famous for.
