Project Description
The New European Bauhaus Summers (NEB Summers) is a new educational model to create a continuity to the Eramus program and the conditions to connect students from all over Europe during their shared summer period, by giving them the opportunity to join European projects related to sustainability, inclusion and aestethic. Summer is a common cultural moment in Europe for students and could become a chance for the young generation to travel, learn and act for a desirable future.

Description of the project
Summary
This new educational model would be a new branch of the Erasmus program and will take place during summer. Summer is a common cultural moment in Europe for students and we think it could become a chance for the young generation to travel, learn and act for a desirable future.
In this new model, Europe, countries, cities, companies or NGO's would be able to propose projects through a platform based on the New European Bauhaus principles : sustainability, inclusion and aesthetic.
These projects could also be related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDG's). Projects would be selected based on how they will help achieving the European Green Deal objectives and respond to local challenges.
The projects will be then proposed on the platform to the students (18-years-old to 30-years-old) from all European countries.
Students from different fields will be able to apply to the projects they want to join. They could be selected depending on their background, motivation or ambition. It will be a way for them to exchange, share visions, cultures, values, skills, knowledge and experiences. And act for common objectives.
The idea is also to compensate the students for their work. It is a way to recognize their implication and a long-term investment on the new generation to make them actors of today and tomorrow.
Key objectives for sustainability
In term of sustainability, the key objectives are to educate students by making them actors on sustainable projects (that could also be based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals). The objectives will vary depending on the type of project they will be involved in.
But as examples, we can think about adapting our cities and environment to climate change, maintaining natural spaces, protecting endangered fauna and flora, participate to agricultural projects...
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
As for the sustainability objectives, the key objectives in terms of aestethics and quality of experience will vary depending on the projects. But the idea is to bring back the natural aesthetic of our environment : wild and natural spaces, monuments, cities and by doing so improving the quality of experience and quality of life for all living beings.
As exemples, we could imagine projects around the restoration of the European cultural heritage and historical monuments, arts and crafts, maintaining natural spaces...
Key objectives for inclusion
In terms of inclusion, our proposition aims to gather students (18-years-old to 30-years-old) through European projects. Students from different backgrounds, fields or social status, from all over Europe would be welcome to join. The idea is to offer them the opportunity to unite for common objectives. It will allow them to meet new people and work on projects that could directly be linked with inclusion and quality of experience, while be compensated for their work and implication.
As examples, we could think about projects around sensibilizing people to climate, create socio-cultural events, work on disabled people's inclusion, gender equality, taking care of elder people, homeless people...
Innovative character
What is innovative about this concept is its scale and ambition. It will concern every European country, city, company or NGO that wants to participate. It will bring young adults from all over Europe (from different cultures and fields) together, to help facing the challenges of today and tomorrow for a more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future.
It also aims to make the young generation have a new and more active education, non-obligatory, and give them the opportunity to help Europe achieving the European Green Deal objectives. It will also be a way for them to travel, visit new places, new people, and even discover new passions, while being compensated for their meaningful work and implication.
