This is an aluminium anodized high quality ballpoint pen. The movement is inspired in a sketch described by Leonardo Da Vinci during the 15th century in some manuscript. The design is totally made by artisan in cnc machining one by one and there is no complex mechanisms inside. The user only need to turn the side tube and the ink refill go up and down by a mechanic and simple movement.

Summary
Innovative pen is inspired in a screwing invention from Leonardo Da Vinci in 15th century. made by recycled aircraft grade aluminum one by one with the highest quality finishing and balanced weight is the best writing tool for architects , designers and creations.
Davinci pen is an artisan machined one by one ballpoint pen with a mechanism inspired in a Leonardo Davinci’s sketch inventions from the 15th century.
Turning the slim bar you can take out tip and start create. The weight is perfectly balanced for a long journey of drawing. There is a indent for the hand rest also used to fix the pen in the moleskine type notebooks.
A small protruding avoid turning around the table.
Its innovation and simplicity was awarded with the IF design award, German design award, European design awards PLATINUM, Gida design awards and Delta design awards.
Key objectives for sustainability
The pen is aircraft with aluminium anodized made by recicled aluminum that comes from scrapped planes and molted again into recycled bars used to make the pens machined one by one. Also the ink is made by natural composition withouth lead and other common toxics. Packaging Is FSC certificate for a perfect recicling and keep the circular economy of it.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
This pen follows the principle that the simplicity is the maximum sofistication. All the details are minimal and elegant.
There is an small indent that gives the function to fix in a notebook belt in top. Also a small protude stops the pen to avoid its turn over the table.
Material is micro-sandblasted with high precision and colored with natural technics.
Key objectives for inclusion
This projects gives work to a group of artisans that have been forgotten and created a group of old man and women with more than 50 years old with risk of labor exclusion because of age.
Results in relation to category
This pen is focus in a kind of people that wants to keep the use of hand pen (not digital) but with an aspirational product ideal for architects, designers and anyone that love refined fashioned and design products.
The process to create a pen from the scrapped aircrafts from special airport in Spain makes the sustainability point of the product and also the packaging is an experience on itself.
How Citizens benefit
The project was helping the artisans group that manufacture to recover labor positions after economical crisis in south Europe and has been give work to more than 50 years old people until today.
Innovative character
The pen has an old but basic system renewed based on a Leonardo’s davinci invention from the 15th century. We have reduced all the parts in order to make easy to be manufactured by artisans and reduce the waste of material.
