Project Description
We offer new meeting and sharing spaces from premises unused by the community.
In these spaces we provide tools adapted to forgotten young people (invisible: unemployed, without training, without support) and young people with no plans to: learn by doing through the co-construction of cultural projects and discover the project approach through workshops lead by professional réferents. We are inventing devices to meet isolated populations in rural or sensitive areas (Young mobile / Project bar)

Key objectives for sustainability
1 / Experiment with new modes of governance: develop skills linked to the realization of their projects (as a young person) and the occupation of rewarding social roles.
Means implemented to achieve this: one of the conditions for involving young people is to offer stimulating actions in which they have room for maneuver, within an action framework that is neither directive nor too hierarchical: report , write a short story, organize a show ... and provide the means to achieve this through technical, methodological, financial, material support and numerous partners.
2 / Reduce the territorial divide, revitalize and improve the quality of life in sensitive areas Means implemented to achieve this: “Young Mobile” and “Project Bar” (in cooperation with “France Service”): animations around MAO (Computer-assisted music) via a mobile music studio to reach isolated young people and detect them others thanks to cultural activities in the market places.
3 / Role of territorial animation as a territory factory: supporting the emergence of meeting places in isolated territories.
Means implemented to achieve this: "Workshops of the future" to stimulate the emergence of collective projects in rural areas (a third place or a "project house") starting from the resources that are unoccupied spaces in villages and made available.
4 / Improve the quality of overall support thanks to better mutual knowledge;
Means implemented to achieve this: We take into account the expertise of professionals in various fields: youth, social work, arts and culture, regional planning, professional integration, education to jointly consider motivating avenues for action
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
Encourage the expression and experimentation of the aspirations and projects of young people with various professionals
Means to achieve this:
Our third places are project incubators or "small project houses".
We carry out research work that focuses on the experiences and aspirations of young people to then promote exchanges with them and identify their expectations, their needs, their aspirations ...
We also identify the devices (mobilized) and take into account the knowledge of professionals who do not work together from the start: in youth, social work, integration, or culture.
We then carry out action work: we co-develop tools to make an initiative "spin-off", reproducible on condition that its characteristics are adapted to local contexts and particularities.
Key objectives for inclusion
Reduce the number of invisible young people (Neets without support), get out of precariousness, regain esteem and confidence.
Give young people lacking support the opportunity to find a place in society, regain the power to act and mobilize it for their personal projects.
Means to achieve this:
The objective of social transformation pursued by our third places is embodied in the means of action made available.
We operate on a principle of broad and participatory governance.
Supported young people can, if they wish, get involved in the life of the place and events, offer entertainment, participate in its management ...
This is how several supported projects can be set up in the place, have an office or that accompanied young people can join the team in internship, in civic service "Project", or as a volunteer for example. Particular attention is paid to the "1 young person - 1 solution" program” to guide young people towards learning paths, training qualifications or diplomas lacking in the territory.

How Citizens benefit
1) Through our action-research method, we unite young people and stakeholders very early on to work together to find solutions to their problems and avenues of collaboration to achieve the goal of better support for young people
2) Young users get involved voluntarily and naturally in the life of the place because it operates as an unconditional welcome and on free membership.
3) We allow young people who wish to do so to train in the animation of third places: this creates additional motivation to get involved in the site's system and allows them to become professionally independent.
4) Our factories are co-designed and co-animated spaces for cultural life, solidarity and the dissemination of mature initiatives guaranteeing reception without any qualification, income or residence conditions. They provide fertile ground for the development of collective actions and citizen involvement which allow us to recreate links in our territories
5) Our methodology promotes the emergence and experimentation of the aspirations of young people, some of whom are settling in the area; by "snowball" effect involves more and more interested citizens.
Innovative character
Our model is a project that has several characteristics of innovation:
1 / It is a process innovation: because it presents a relevant organizational approach to support young people. By crossing existing skills and resources, but hitherto categorized and separated.
2 / It is also a methodological and educational innovation, combining the teachings of the social and solidarity economy, popular education to offer new tools. We intervene on this subject in universities and schools of social work, town planning ... (Master 2 ESS, Chair ESS Cnam, IUT René Descartes ...).
3 / It is also a partnership innovation in the territory because the professionals concerned did not imagine working together (the systems are categorized which does not promote cooperation). In addition, we only intervene in areas where there are needs; we consider the local ecosystem very carefully so that it is a driving force in the animation of third places.
4 / This is a new territorial innovation in the Landes (40), a very rural area where the question of third places is recent (2020). We combine expertise and spatial planning data with a scientific approach to social work (action research, social experimentation, sociology of youth).
5 / This allows access to new audiences that the institutions want to reach: our approach "to reach" invisible young people is part of a social R&D approach to attract young people who have given up or have no defined project. To do this, we work with research laboratories and take the relevant data upstream of the action (on this topic we are collaborating with Claire Bernot Caboche, sociologist on integration issues).
