Hai floor lamp
Hǎi means 'sea' in Chinese pinyin, it is 'a sunshine ray in the middle of the sea'.
The base of the Hǎi floor lamp is made in recycled plastic material which give the idea of the sea by recreating the texture of the Italian traditional 'veneziana' flooring made in marble chunks, while today in recycled plastic.
The light structure is in iron tube, reused material, and it is colored in bright yellow.

Description of the project
Summary

The project idea came during the COVID lockdown, when the entire word stopped for so long time.
We changed our prospectives and the way of living, the expectations.
We must re-start with awareness regarding the planet, the nature and the human relations.
Hǎi floor lamp symbolize the rebirth.

The project has been thought from me, an architect and designer, realized by an artist and smith, photographed by an artis and used by everyone.
The entire project has been shared, revised and thought with the inclusion of all people around me, and it will be hopefully used by a lot of people, aware of the material reused and the work behind it.
Results in relation to category
The idea of the project is spreading the awareness regarding the planet internationally, in each home, library caffè places, as a light of hope!

Hǎi floor lamp, is an everyday furniture which is symbolize the possibility of creating, reusing materials, creating a circular economy where all the society is involved and can benefit from it.
Innovative character
Using reused material is possible to create beautiful and useful items, avoiding to further damage the environment.
