Key objectives for sustainability
The key objective was to re-use as much building materials as possible. Therefore we decided not to demolish the building, but keep whatever was structurally re-usable.
For new materials, we only used sustainable materials such as the recycled beach wood panels.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
The architectural experience is always crucial in our projects. The facade which is completely new was rebuild according to the original principles and detailing. It fits perfectly in the rest of the surrounding buildings.
In the interior we created extra spaces that make maximum use of natural daylight.
Key objectives for inclusion
In order for cities to be livable, we need to invest in them. Renovating homes for new habitation is the solution to create good surroundings. In this project, the owners decided to invest not only in the building, but in the area as well. The home that was created contributes to the revival of the area. The house has all modern comfort for families so it is still possible to live in an urban area with all the family needs. The renovation has been thorough, but still affordable with the use of sustainable materials.
